I have a friend that I had fallen out of contact with. We grew up together as kids but once we hit the teen years we only saw each other once a year. After I reached the age of an adult i ceased having contact with him all together. We just didn't really have much in common to keep us hanging out. For some reason a couple months ago he called me up asking me to be one of two best men and i said yes out of courtesy. My question is how to I give a speech with passion when the subject of the speech I don't really know too well(and have great amounts of apathy towards)?

I don't know what I would do in your situation. I am going to be the best man at my best friends wedding despite us living kind of far away. We still are close when I get back to school. I am nervous to make the speech. I know the gist of what I want to talk about but I am going to be in front of a large crowd and its an extremely important moment.
I also need to figure out what I want to do for his bachelor party.

Yea thats why im thinking about just seeing if the other best man my want to just take the whole speech, I just hate being fake and feel I'd have a whole lot of fakeness spewing out of my mouth during this important moment. Its hard for me to sound passionate about something when I'm not.
