Visitors keep on coming!

I try hitstats for my blog, but I noticed others prefer sitemeter. Which one do you prefer? At first I assumed that visitors statistic isn't important, but seeing the increasing number of visitors to my blog is somewhat fulfilling and motivates me to post more. It is also one way to brag about the fame of your blog or earn the trust of your visitor; I prefer the latter, by the way, since it's a proof that you're writing is entertaining and informative that's why people keep coming back. May all of us gain more traffic to our blog.
