Nope no foreclosed property just a few bad financial choices in the past. I'm trying to find out how many points will be added after I pay some of my past due accounts because I'm trying to raise my score just a bit its really important because I'm going to be buying my first home and I want to make sure that those past due accounts are paid, and will help to raise my score more then a few points I need raise my score 150 points.

This is the kind of question that is unique to each person, it depends on the amount of late payments, and over what period of time, also how long the payments have been overdue. You should call the three individual credit reporting agencies to find out what kind of score increase you will see. It can be a hassle but your other option is to pay for credit repair from a credit repair agency. You can increase your credit score by registering payments like utilites and rent, At least in Nebraska, there is an EZPayday advance company that offers short term loans, they also have a program to report monthy payments to the credit *beuraus*. I know that is spelled wrong. Any wayz you should be making payments to the collection agencies that have contacted you about your overdue status, but keep in mind you can contest any amount due by calling the collection people, finding out the address and writing a letter that contests your obligation. I have seen this done for past due cell phone bills. This may not work for all companies. And it may not be applicable in your state.
