I am. Maybe because i need more food to keep myself warm in winter. hehe...But i heard people said that winter actually the best time to lose weight if you can eat less, i am not sure if that's true. But i do think that i am more skinny in Summer than Winter.

erm, this question sounds interesting. well, hmm, my country does not snow, but i did experienced a cool winter holiday in Beijing. i eat more in cold places, as my body need more food to constantly produce heat and maintain my body temp.

I think people will try to eat more in winter because of the cold weather. At least they can create the energy when they eat more. This is why it is easier to get fatter in winter than in summer. But in my case, my weight hardly has a change no matter it is in winter or summer.
I love China

I do gain weight in the winter, but it's because I go out walking a lot during the summer, and don't really like doing this in the winter when it's cold outside. I'd much rather curl up infront of the fire and read a book with a mug of hot chocolate (which has calories in it). I generally lose all of the weight again once it becomes summer, as I am able to begin exersizing again. I don't put on too much, and I'm not that bad for weight anyway so it really makes no odds.

Yes, because I fell more like a bear during winter months. A bear usually hibernate and become lazy during these days. I prefer to stay at home rather than going outside in a cool breeze of winter. I prefer to stay late in the morning than waking-up early jogging as its more comfortable in the bed than engaging myself in the coldness of the morning. I eat much in winter with all the hot meals on the table. In summers, more and more activities are being done not to include its the vacation time of my kids and there are lots of pools and beaches to swim and enjoy.

Hello,
I think I feel the same way... I am sure but most of the time, I weight myself and it is the same. If I want to loose weight then I still can get any much to loose cuz I have big bone and I also reach to what I am already... can't get any far

I read that it's easier to lose weight in winter because you burn more calories trying to maintain your body heat. And the one time I was really successful at losing weight, it was winter. Problem is, there are the holidays and all the food that's around, so that makes it harder.

Actually yes I am. There is a simple explanation for me though. In the summer months, I'm always out and about enjoying the sun and doing stuff, but in the colder months, I sort of hibernate and generally seem to eat more food.

I reckon its pretty much a mental thing. In winter when you're wrapped up you're obviously going to feel less skinny then when your wearing less in summer. I can understand also that people may eat less in summer because they don't need food storage to keep warm and all that business. But its not like we're animals in the wild we don't need food storage to keep warm, we have central heating :P

I'm not. I'm fatter in summer than in winter. Because in summer is so hot and I don't have any disposition to practice sports or do exercises or walk. I just have disposition for this in winter. And in summer like I don't have any to do I eat.

Definitely fatter in winter, since the winter break i have been eating six times a day and i have a four pack ! it's really amazing but i don't know why when winter comes i just get this sudden urge to eat all the time any time. my daily course was wake up at 12:00 in the afternoon, play then eat breakfast, then play then it lunch, play then eat lunch again, then play again and eat dinner ! not to mention all the snacks in between, i even play soccer and forgot about the whole not drinking soda thing and just drank soda the whole 2 weeks ! wow if there's a time to let lose it has to be in winter, mostly because it's cold and you want to get all you can before you have to go outside in the cold so remember enjoy it while it's still here !

Hi vivian,
I also heard that people may become fat in winter. Some are saying that the appetite is really high in winter and always want to eat something. I think people using food which contains more fat for keeping them warm. This may be the reason for getting fat in winter. But I do not have the habit of eating fat contained food in winter. So there won’t be much difference.

I don't think so,I think the most important determinants of being fat is how much you eat and how much you do excercise.such as me,if I eat a lot of snacks whether in winter or in summer,I will be fat sooner, however,if I stop to eat snacks,I may be thinner after a week.
So,I like to eat a lot in winter to keep warm and make me feel better,I like eating snacks, and I don't worry being fat.
Good luck!

Yes, i do! It is so just because there are many holidays during the winter and on holidays every one eats as much as he/she can, so I get really fatter dring the cold winter days. And in summer I am more active and then I get a little bit thiner but not so much

Yes, I am just a little bit more. I think it has to do with I'm more inclined to chill in the winter. I'm less likely to get outdoors and be active, due to the fact that the weather is colder. I do a lot of walking in the Spring and Summer months. While I still exercise indoors, when I can, its a lot less in the Winter.

Yes. In winter all of us definitely gain some weight. If not it will be abnormal. In summer dehydration is very high. Hence there was no chances of gaining weight. We will last all the salts and nutrients threw dehydration. In winter percentage of swett is very low or Zero.
