Where has humanity gone to?

Why has man lost his humanity towards others? Why has money taken over everything? How can people allow an elderly person with not enough money to buy heating fuel to freeze? How can the most powerful nation in the world allow people to live on the streets and go hungry?

Hi plantit1 .
Per the Holy Bible, we see it is due to the sin nature in man. The answer to the title of your post is that Christ said, essentially, that humanity was on the way to destruction.
However, God loved us so much He provided a cure in Christ. Most people, though, reject that cure.
Yet, Christ, Messiah, will return and this foolishness will cease.

I think the media has a lot to do with it, especially television. We are bombarded with the worst the creators of movies and reporters can dig up that people become callous, totally ignoring the small little things. A few decades ago people r4eally cared for each other, but these days, besides the bad conditioning, we are captivated by all sorts of entertainment, so much that we forget about all the need out there. Sad state of affairs.

HI! You are so right! The people become beast and they don't care about each other. THey care only about themselves and maybe for their relatives. They don't help their friends, don't give money for causes- yes, it is crisis and we haven't got much money, but 1-2 dollars won't make a change for us, but for the hungry people in the African countries it will be something very big. We don't care about our neighbors' children, just because our are at home near the warm fireplace and why should we worry about the freezing kids of the neighbor. They are his/her worry. We don't care about them. So people, open your eyes and look around and you will see, that you are living in some different world, it it a fake, you must come into the real one, and see how people are fighting for their food. I like the song "What about now" performed by Daughtry- it is about the hungry people, about the fighting people, about the sadness in our live that we don't or don't want to see.

Humanity is still there in the world. It is just that we need to understand that we need to humble with each other.
