When someone at work is acused of doing something that they did or did not do... Should there be an investigation before they are let go, while they are suspended, or while they are still working? Why do you think this?
For instance if someone is acused of hurting a patient in a hospital, and in this case the patient was angry with the worker and wanted to get her in trouble, so said patient tells a higher up that this employee hurt him. Should the person be let go without an investigation or not?

In such a case I would say be suspended while investigating and back pay if found to be innocent.

Well, in that particular example, I would say that the person should not be let go without an investigation of what really happened. Unless the person already had a bad reputation or list of having problems or causing trouble. But if they are cleaned an ivestigation should come first. And then depending on the situation should be let go or punished. I know that when working the customer is always right, but an investigation should come first.
