Former Australian Captain Ian Chappel had said that Tendulkar should review his future in cricket before some one else is forced to make a decision for him. At this moment he looks like a player trying to eke out a career built on a glittering array of statastics. He also pointed out that Sachin had failed against Srilanka and Bangladesh in the last worldcup and make a half century against Bermuda.
We all know the Australians are always behind india and indians. Chappel who had played 75 test matches and just 16 ODI had no match with the legends like Sachin Tendulkar. Also I think Sachin is wise enough to plan his future and there is no need for anyone to remind what he should do. He had done that for last 20 years and can do now also. What do you think about Chappells remark?

i can recollect one incident...
Ian commented "Sachin, go look into ur mirror, and u can find ur age"
The next match VB series final, dere was a century frm Sachin..!
And dat shameless Ian praised Sachin's innings aftr da match.

Actually what Ian Chappel says doesn't affect Sachin much. It really spurns him to achieve more! Even Ganguly showed what he was capable by making a comeback when he was branded as 'must retire' category player.
It is not a question of whether to retire or not. If Sachin can play and contribute to Team then there is no one who can ask him to retire! He has made it clear many times that he will retire when he knows that he can no longer contribute much or he feels it is enough.
May be Chappel want to see Ponting scoring more runs and centuries than Sachin so that he can claim Ponting is better than Sachin. He has said that already but didn't get support from many. So if Sachin retires now Ponting can overtake in Tests easily. That must be one reason behind what he said.
Sachin failed against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh in 2007 world cup, but it is to be remembered that everyone failed in the team at that time. So why Sachin needs to retire if he failed in 2007 world cup? Doesn't make any sense at all!
Happy Mylotting!

You are right. Chappel is famous for his critism against Indians and favourism towards the aussies. We have seen this in the past and continue to doing so. SO there is a need to advice the old man what he should do instead of passing the comments to the greatest legends like Sachin. It's so kindness of Sachin, that he does not back fires him. Else he would have found no space to hide. Poor Old man.

these old players are commentattor experts and they should be provided freedom to give their expert advise. to follow them or no is up to the cricketer.

i think sachin doesnt care of such a remark from anyone that he should leave playing cricket or not.
if sachin thinks that he doesnt have a potential to win matches for india then he himself will leave the squad as he only wants to see india to win whether he is on the field or off.
well recently he played some good innings which shows that he can go for another 2-3 years and i wish he do that.

Definitely Sachin does not need advices from anyone on when to retire. I am sure the way he is considering the series now a days, he is intended to play the next worldcup. Previously he was playing for india even if he is not 100 percent fit. But now he decides which series to play for. The latest one is this tri-series, keeping the biggest batting order india have in mind.

Ian Chappell is known for his unwanted and illogical statements and his favoritism for Australian team.Let him plan for himself and his brother Greg.I think he should give his sermons to the Australian team who need his help.

I fully agree with you. Sachin is the god of cricket and i don't like someone commenting about his career. Its all left to sachin to take decision about his career and future.
