I have had this feeling since very early on in my pregnancy that the baby is turning - my stomach tightens and it gets quite uncomfortable. I have been for all the scans and tests and everything is going great - the Dr told me it was just Braxton Hicks. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I had nothing like this with the other 2. They were boys and this is a girl - does that make a difference? From what stage are you supposed to get Braxton Hicks?

Your child's gender won't make a difference with the Braxton Hicks. I'm going through my second pregnancy and I've been having them since I was around 9 weeks. It's normal, since it's just your body's way of readying itself for when your real contractions start. They can get painful, but it can't really be helped.

I had three kids too. My first two were girls and my last was a boy. I had braxton hicks with all of my pregnacies. I guess it just depends on the person. I carried all of my children the same very low but each one i delivered differently. My first baby sat on a nerve and that was uncomfortable. Well if the baby and everything is fine I would not worry. I have had 5 pregancies the first two did not go well. But the third one took and she was a healthy baby girl... Good Luck and congrates.

No, every pregnancy is different. Make sure to keep your self hydrated if you are not getting enough to drink it can make these worse and more noticable. Just listen to your body and take cues from it, if you need to rest then rest. If you need to walk around then walk around, just make sure to get plenty of liquids.
