playing computer games defects our eyes?

I think yes, from my experience, every time after I played computer games for several hours, I felt so weak in body and eyes, like all my engery has been sucked by the PC! Get some rest in between will be better.

I think anything you do on the computer for a long amount of time hurts your eyes. Maybe moreso with games because of the graphics. But then again, you have to think that the same goes for TV and games on consoles. It seems like anything we do 'too much' is bad for us!

Yes it defects our eyes a lot.If we use computer continuously with out giving any break,it creates lot of health problems.Now a days gaming and Internet addiction is a growing problem facing many families, couples, and individuals both young and old. This psychological disorder is defined as uncontrolled gaming and Internet-related behavior which interferes with or impairs normal functioning, and causes severe emotional distress for the individual, their family, friends, or their loved ones. Gaming and Internet addiction can also disrupt one’s academic performance, or their job performance. Game and Internet addicts typically and unwittingly make games and cyberspace the top priority in their daily lives.I am not interested in any computer game.But i am working as a network engineer in a software firm and i daily use computer for more than 6 hours.But,i always put a break in between my job.It is good to wash our face and eyes with cold water intermittently.We must also follow proper ergonomics while using computer.

I think computer games shouldn't be to bad as long as you do not play them for too long or sit too close to the sreen.

playing computer games is very popular these days. sometimes you can't just get enough that you don't notice how many hours have you been playing. it's a fact that playing computer games or doing any job in the computer for a long time affects our eyes. not only that, we can suffer from headaches and even body pains due to poor posture. excessive usage of the computer hurt our eyes that's why there are things like antiradiation screen. i'm using computer a lot, too so i'm wearing glasses with antiradiation to protect them. playing computer games is real fun but we need to take care of our eyes, too before we realized that we need to wear very thick eyeglasses or those costly eyeglasses called high index. happy mylotting!

years of playing video games and using computers have affected my eyes. I can no longer tolerate bright light or too much sunlight; now and perhaps the rest of my life I must wear dark sunglasses- last time I didn't wear sunglasses outside, my eyes felt like they were on fire because of the sun.

I definatly agree with you that it can be harmful to ones eyes to play too much. But, I think that as long as you don't play too long it's okay. Like, once your eyes get tired, stop. That is actually quite hard sometimes when playing a video game.
