what is six sigma?

six sigma is a methodology for using tools to reduce variation and defects in order to deliver products and services that meet customer satisfaction. it is not a recipe, but rather a road map, a guide to using the right tools for the situation.

It is a business management strategy developed my Motorola. Six sigma strategy is used to identify and rectify the defects in manufacturing process. This strategy is used to target cost reduction and profit increase and deliver goods to the customer to his satisfaction.
