I'm not that crazy on teddy bears..But my hubby presented me one when we got married thinking that I may love it..In the same way my sister's fiance had gifted her one in the last week assuming that she loves teddy bears..My friend has also recieved one from her husband..But the fact is teddy bears are not our favourite ones..Why is that many men decide that girls love teddy bears or soft dolls..Do all women love teddy bears?

This is another area of our lives that the media completely controls! This is how we are portrayed and it will stay that way until we either pool our money for a media blitz, make our own tshirts saying "I hate teddy bears" (even if we don't really hate them), or announce to every man we meet that we are not nuts about teddy bears.
Sad to say, this misconception will only increase as Valentine's Day approaches.

Wouldn't it be nice if women could give men teddy bears! I know it's going off the subject slightly but I wonder how men would respond if their wife or partner gave them a teddy bear? So in that relation it should work both ways, we are in the 21st century and yet stereotyping is still in full force. I think a lot of men either don't have much imagination or they still live in the stoneage LOL! Mind you I guess it makes a change from flowers doesn't it? Do all girls love receiving flowers, or do some girls think that flowers are a man's guilty concious, or maybe teddy bears and soft dolls have taken the place of the flowers as the guilt present. Just my thoughts here my friend.

i guess teddy bears and soft dolls have been considered "girly stuffs" since time immemorial. Its the safest and no-brainer gift a guy can give. the generic "sweet gift" i may say. maybe they think that we love to hug and imagine that the teddy is them. haha. anyway, i love teddy bears and i love hugging 'em. and anyway, it's the thought that's important.
