Hi,
one of my friends have this problem. His PC's C drive is filling up automatically. No visible data is piling on the drive but the space is going anyway.
Can this be a virus infection or some settings issue with Virtual memory??

just want to know one thing..is the operating system he's using is Vista.
If yes, then its a bug in that OS. I too faced such problems when i was using Vista.
I too think if it was a virus so , whenever such thing happened, i used to format C drive and install a clean copy of OS. But later on i understand that it was a bug and used CCleaner to free some disk space. Sometimes Restarting the system also does the job for me.
So, just check which OS he's using.
If its other than Vista, try to use Ccleaner and free some space by removing unwanted files(like system restore) and restart the system. If this doesn't help, then install a clean copy of OS after formatting C drive and install a good anti-virus.
Good luck.
