For me I'd rather choose the man i need because i love him rather that u love him because u just need him...there are some situations especially in partners that they jst love their partner because u want something from him,u just love ur partner for what he/she have rather than what he/she are..ayt?

If I'm not wrong, those sentences are from Erich Fromm. He's a great philosopher. Those are about the maturity of love. Childish love said that I love you because I need you. And it is a mature love that said, I need you because i love you. I think we should grow up to have a mature love.

It should be 'I need you because I love you'. I for one, don't want to be loved because I can do something for him nor because of this and that, but rather because he simply cannot be complete without me. I know my man had said something similar to me, but I also believe that it is not that easy to assert and live up to.
