190 days had passed when my husband was deployed in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, their Unit was the one assigned in the critical areas, although there were no firefights, their troops greatest enemy are IED's planted on almost any routes they would travel everyday. Sometimes, I would thing that life is really unfair, since there were also deployed servicemen in other areas in Afghanistan and Iraq that were earning the same salary but are not faced to danger. My husband would tell me that they do not have a complete meal, or if they have, it would be an MRE. While those who were staying in the office were those that would complain all the time. Everyday is always a very long and fearsome day for me especially when he calls me and would tell me that they would be out for a week. I wish this war would just end.
