To me, as long as you are not going there alone. Anywhere in the world are safe. Or you can also say any where in the world are dangerous. Because there is good people and bad people wherever the place is. I think nowadays, Haidi is not a safe place to go to because of the earth quake.

I wouldn't wish to visit Afghanistan or Iraq. I have heard both countries are quite dangerous. I would be happy to visit a country that is now peaceful but was at war in the past time. I have visited Mexico and it was quite safe when I was there. I visited Israel and there were lots of security check points there. I wouldn't wish to visit a destination that is currently a war zone.

A cousin of mine was assaulted in New Jersey, and a couple of months back, a good friend, was beatten real bad in France, because of her skin colour, and, if you asked, paeople will tell you those are safe countries. And they are, of course, there are places more dangerous than others, but I do not believe that an irracional fear must keep you from a nice vacation. Either Mexico and Puerto Rico, are great places to visit, with friendly and lovely people. When travel, contact a reliable local travel agency, thrust them and do not go to places they recomended you do not go, and you will be mostly fine.
