He got over a million dollars right? And he pledged to donate it... so where do you think he donated it to? Do you think he will donate a lot of money above the prize money amount? I know he made a lot with his books. I expect his tax return will be released to the public as usually the custom with the presidents, and at election time the candidates. The last time Obama released his, his charitable donations were not percentage wise very good at all. Percentage wise I donated more than he did and I couldn't really afford it and he could. As president I would think that he would step it up especially with the economy hurting a lot of Charities.

Tsk, tsk! You're not supposed to ask! It's enough that he said something noble (no pun intended) and suitably charitable. Having so graciously stated that he would donate the money, we should all be impressed. After all, even if he didn't donate it, it's the thought that counts, right? Maybe Michelle needed some new clothes. He certainly expresses lofty thoughts and we should all be happy to do as he says and not as he does. This judging him on his actions has got to stop. People only do it to make him look bad.

That's a good question, and one I hadn't thought about. I'll look forward to finding out the answer. I also wouldn't be surprised if all the money did NOT go to charity. Yep, with my income factored into the equation, I also gave more to charity than Obama, and I'm on disability! A little more than 10% a year of what I get goes to charity. And that includes my online earnings.

Bless you for that. Especially in times like these charities need it. My grandparents really give a lot, to their church there is a program that they help poor families in the area... they do things like pay their electric bill or rent/mortgage and a food pantry. Then they sponsor a couple of kids in some poor country to go to school and so many other things. Then I have an aunt who no matter what it is if she gets anything in the mail asking for donations for this or that she sends them money... she really didn't have it to give. So the family had to start sorting out her mail taking out all the things asking for money..lol.
