Yep he does on my expense of course
Today I had to go food Shopping and I do not take Gissi with me, 1. He hates the Car 2. The car is to cold and in the Summer to hot so little Man stays at Home, I am normally gone about 3 Hours as that is the only time I go out, on the Day I get my Disability, I then do Food Shopping and I take my time lol
I normally do not leave Gissi on his own as such but he does know about the Shopping Day as that is also the Day I buy his Goodies for the Month
So I took him out, fed him and then told him I had to go shopping and he is to be good so he growled at me which is nothing unusual as he lets me know that he is mad at me for going
So of I went, took my time, I always use 2 Supermarkets and as I say I take my time
After 2 1/2 Hours I returned home, now normally Gissi will come running and look for his goodies in the Shopping bags, I don't mind as he never touches any of my food he always knows which are his, well this morning he didn't so I went in the living room, he sat there looking at me, yeah that is just fine, but......................... my clean wet Washing was all over te Floor, at the moment I dry my washing in the Living room as that is the only warm room, so I hang them on a Washing stand and leave them close to the heater, well little Man decided to get every item he could reach and pull them of to put them on the Floor, well that is not so bad, but ............... he also ate his Chewies on the Washing, so I had bits of it all over the washing, so that meant all those Items had to be washed again, he was quite proud of himself, when I asked who did that, he looked all happy, wagging his Tail and then.............BARKED at me, and gave me the Gissi look as if to say, well who do you think, anyway he charged in the Kitchen to the Shopping bags searching, he found the bag with his Chewys and sat nice in front of it, so I told him no as he had been naughty, well, he barked and barked, jumped up the back of my Legs a few times the back of the Knees which of course was not good, I just had to laugh at him, so I gave him one of his Chewy's I went in the Bedroom to go and get the bits of washing from the Basket and well, my Pillows where on the Floor, 2 Bones under my Cover and his blanket and pillow out of his bed, I called him, he growled, I went through and told him he is not funny, I then turned his bed upside down and he was not happy, he sat there glaring at me, so I decided to leave it like that just to annoy him, well he messed my bed up
So anyway after all that Gissi pointed out to me that he was bored and tired now

Dexter is the same as Gissi, he hates to be left on his own at home. We have long curtains hanging at our windows front and back. One pair are behind our tv unit so he cannot get at them, but the front windows are a particular attraction for dex. if anyone knocks or even moves in the vicinity of the front door outside or even if a neighbour goes out side, dex attacks those curtains, grr, swinging on them, grr he will get those pesky intruders grrr. So what i have to do ,is hook the curtains up over the radiators and very elegant they look too!!! I have had countless birthday cards, christmas cards and even a bank card with little sharp toothmarks in them, when dexter has attacked them as they come through his front door letterbox. but never junk mail !! When I was single and in my teens, ( about a hundred years ago !!) we had a little beagle called Bill. if me and my parents were out, he would hunt down all the shoes in the house, and take them up on one of the beds. he wouldnt chew them, just store them for safe keeping. he was a lovely little dog. he didnt chew curtains or important post either !!

Bill must have just wanted to have the lovely smell of your feet. It sounds almost endearing for him to do that.

The only problem being is your punishment was after the fact. Trainers agree that to be affective you must immediately punish, dogs live in the now and don't have much sense of the future. But your guy is so special he probably knew exactly what was going on. Blessings

Hi Sweetie! Hope other then having to re-wash your things you and Gissi are doing well. Poor Gissi just wanted his mum, so I guess he got a little ticked off for you leaving. He could have found a better way to entertain himself I agree, BUT he could have done something worse too! Hopefully you two can get along and have a better experience on your next shopping day! Hope you had a great Christmas, I love you both TONS, and enjoy the rest of your day! Hugzz & Kissezz to you both!

I guess that is a lesson not to leave the wash out to dry on shopping day. Poor little Gissi was either bored or just mad at you for leaving him. I would have hated to do the laundry all over again, but I would have laughed too.

Be glad you didn't find toilet paper rolled over the place... There is a reason I have two dogs, so one is not bored when alone....sometimes is not working because cat starts the mess and dogs can finish it...this way I don't know who to blame....

Well Gaby, it is time for a couple of lessons.
Firstly: washing day and shopping day do not combine. You have to ensure all the washing is dry and put away before shopping day.
Secondly: make sure Gissi has something to play with - now, don't tell him about it. Let him believe he has discovered this all by himself, even though it was your plan.
Thirdly: What the heck! YOU love it!!! If you didn't have Gissi to do these things, you'd be complaining.
Thanks for the smiles.

Well I guess you are right lol
But the spare room is not so cold and damp any more now so it can dry in there again
As for leaving something for him, I thought I was, my washing, my Pillows My bed to be rearranged well he seemed to think it was for him lol
Yes I know lol my Life would be so empty with no Gissi about he will always be my little Monkey lol, well he behaves like one

Gissi seems likes a very nice, loveable, mischievous little dog and one couldn't help but love him to bits. My own dogs who are no longer with me have often done similar things but who could be cross with them. They are wonderful creatures and the best friends that we could have. Well, good luck with all the washing and hopefully this time you will be able to keep an eye on it. xx

That is so funny! Although I'm sure you didn't think so at the time. LOL! I think Gissi and my wayward kitten, Whiskers, have been whispering to each other. He will grab anything that he can and pull it down. I have a blanket over part of my bedroom window as some of the vertical blinds got broken. I think at least once a week I have to either straighten it out on the curtain rod or actually pick it up off the floor. AND he's pulled clothes down from the hangers in my closet. LOL!

Dogs are like that aren’t they? My dog Cassie used to do naughty things like that if she was left alone for what she thought was too long! As a puppy she used to steal my hair scrunchies and my pegs and stash them all in her kennel where I would have to go in and retrieve them and as far as the washing went; it was always getting pulled off the line and thrown in the dirt; she especially loved nice clean sheets! Your Gissi is a character, a naughty but loveable little man!

Hehe...poor Gissi. I am sure that he was looking forward to those snacks. Maybe this is his way of telling you that he missed you and didn't want you to leave him again. I think that it is also funny that you flipped his bed since he messed up yours. We do not let our Coco on our bed because of her shedding and we just bought ourselves a new bed spread and we have since started closing the doors because when we are gone she decides to jump onto our bed and "stink" it up so even now with the new bed and the door being shut when we leave whenever we get home I will always say to her "Have you been on my bed?" and even though I know she hasn't she will scowl down towards the floor like she is guilty and gives me her sad eyes. I think it is hysterical and isn't it so funny how smart these little buggers are??

Lol Froggie yes they are very clever
If Gissi has done something and I point at it saying who has done this, if he growls I know it was him
if he doesn't then I know it wasn't him lol
When he tipped my Glass of Water over I just said to him, oh no who did this, trying not to laugh, because his little Face was so serious and he growled, so I said did Gissi do this and he growled again, it is so funny

Wow, after all that time shopping, I would be exhausted and rather put out at all the extra work Gissi caused. I am glad you can laugh about it and share it with us, here. I wish I could get by only shopping one day a month.

What little devil. My Pepi who is 90% of the time such a cool laid back little guy but for other 10% of the time he growls, snarls and barks at me when I pick up my car keys from the table. He is OK if I go out without my keys 'cos he knows I am not going far but hates it when I take the car. Just to show how pissed he is he pees in the kitchen, he is housebroken and seldom has an accident in the house so he does this on purpose. I am just glad he does it on the tiled floor and not on the carpet. Like you I just cannot be really angry with him as is such a loving little guy. More like a little kid pouting and being bratty than a dog. LOL

That little Puppy eye look always melts me lol it is impossible to stay mad at him for to long it really is, the most I have managed is 5 minutes I think
My Daughter stays mad at him but then he will sit there and give her right looks and growls at her under his breath, as if to say, it will work, in the end Mel can't help herself lol and just bursts out Laughing as he does look so serious when he does it lol Big Hugs to you

They act just like little kids when we leave them home alone, don't they? My girls do the same. I've come home to the bed completely, uh, rearranged. LOL Amazing what such tiny little paws and jaws can do, isn't it?
I always know when my girls have been into mischief while I'm away. If they've behaved, they'll greet me at the stairs, barking and running around in circles. If they've been naughty, I don't see them or hear them until I go and look for them. They're usually sitting somewhere, trying to look as innocent as they possibly can. Of course, I never know if it was one or the other, or both, who did the damage. They never squeal on each other.

Hey gabs! Wow! That Gissi can sure be a bad little boy! He
is so mischeivious! I thought my Star & Luna were bad! They
have never done anything near what Gissi does! He is too funny
though! How does he figure out how to make such a mess in the
short time that you're gone? Doesn't he know that you are going
to bring him back his goodie treats! He knows you don't leave
him very often! He is one very smart little doggy! I know how
much you love him because he sure puts you through the ringer!
