Why would you learn a language? Because of work, hobby, school? What is important for you when you choose learning a language? You consider the number of speakers, the prestige, the culture, the economy?

This year I started taking the language Russian. It was a great experience. I took it for a couple months and then all of a sudden our teacher dropped the bomb that she was getting a new job in a higher position, and the class was canceled. Due to this experience, my answer to your question would have to be Russian. I would really love to go and have a fresh start in it and finish at least a course in it. It is a really fascinating language and I think many people should start to learn it, plus it looks good on a resume. GOD BLESS

Right now I am learning Turkish. My reasons for choosing it: it is not an indo-european language, has simmilar grammer to Hungarian, i like how it sounds, Turkey is an interesting country with rich history and culture.
