Hi friends Once again I am back. When ever we go for a picnic or travel to any places, I along with my regular baggage of clothes, cosmetics and necessary items, take some mini medi kit with me without fail as during the journey, we may catch cold, cough, fever, headache, vomitting, stomach pain or diarrhoea, because of change of weather, water or strain. So for emergency sake I will keep these medicines with me always. Do you take any such medicines with you, if you happen to travel to any place?

Hi Vathsala! I invariably my medical kit, when we go on long outstation tours. One never knows what is going to happen all of sudden and I do not want to be caught off guard. I feel it is better to keep essential medicines with us, so that in case of emergency, we could treat ourselves. Good Post!

Hi deepak You are doing the right thing by carrying your medical kit and as you say, we never know what is going to happen all of a sudden and in that situation, we have run from pillar to post in search of a doctor.

Hello my friend vathsala30 Ji, So nice of you for your sincere discussion. In our case, we always have even going for shopping as I may suffer with suddenweakness and my hubby will give me one TSP of 'ELECTROL' with water. At times it helps not only to me but for co-passengers. I remember, once we were travelling in emergency to visit my MIL, there was no seat,I was standing with one child in my Lap and another with my hubby, and third one loittering, suddenly, one passanger burnt hisfinger, my hubby hinted me and I applied burnol to relieve his burning as first aid. He was so kind enough that he offered his seat with my children. My hubby has many such lists, which we follow them as SOP (Sandard Operating Procedure). Let's make a habit. May God bless You and have a great time.

Hello my friend vathsala30 Ji, So nice of you for your positive and favourable comments. This is our habit, I always have mini Fist-aid with me, suiting to my requirements. It helps a lot, even if it is not called for. Why to expect emergencies at all. May God bless You and have a great time.

Hi maygodblessu ji Taking electrol is always better. When we travel sometimes,we may become exhausted or tired during which time we need some energy and also we can help our co passengers in time of need. Yes you did a good thing by helping that passenger

Hi sirill You are right. We do not know anything about our future and its happenings. So it is better to keep the first aid box with us always when ever we travel for a long time.

hi vathsala it is reallly good thing to carry an first aid kit with us, whenever we travel. That way in emergency we can have medicien handy, till we can reach doctor or hospital. Ofcourse for common cold and headaches, we can have common medicine handy with us all the time. IF we are travelling with tinytots, it makes more sense to carry all the common medicine.

Hi radsahana First of all i would like to welcome you to this Mylot family with warm wishes. I always carry some essential medicines with me if i go for a long tour. Because we do not know when we will be down with acidity, gastric, indigestion, cold and stomach pain. So it is advisable to all, to carry some necessary pills along with some band aid strips and cotton, it is not only useful for us but also we can use it for the other co passengers in times of emergency. Thanks for responding my friend

I think it's a good idea, but I rarely bring a kit with me when I travel. I keep my basics in the car, like simple things for headaches and sunburn. I'm not really prepared for cuts, upset stomachs, colds, or anything like that, though. I guess it's because I never really go too far out of the way. Hospitals and pharmacies aren't exactly few and far between in the places I travel to. You can also usually get the basics from gas stations. If I didn't think I would be able to easily reach a store for medicine, I would definitely pack some extra medicines to go.

I must take medicines along with me, when I go out of station. I have a bad digestive system, BP and sugar. Further my body is a cold body and I catch cold very soon. Hence, while packing, whether I take clothes or not, I will take medicines positively.

Yes. People with sugar, BP and some other chronic complaints should take their medicines without fail lest it is difficult for them to go and search for the required medicines in the new area and in their busy schedule.

Hi dear, I think it is good to have a medical kit with us especially we are on travel. We can’t guess when it is needed and on journey it is difficult to shop the same. I am very particular on kids and always keeping essential medicines for them. But I am not showing that much care on elders then also tablets for pain, fever etc will be in my bag.

Hi sree dear You are correct. No body knows what is in store and we can not run here and there in search of our required medicines instead it is advisable to keep the essential and mostly needed ones with us during our travel time. Especially during those times the vulnerables will be small children, who very quickly catch cold or cough or fever. The elders ones will get headache if the journey is tedious.

hi vathsala30 yes when we used to go on trips we always took a mini medical box with us with things for cuts, bruises, diarrhea or constipation,heAd aches ets. It did come in handy at times as you might get a sudden head ache or cut yourself, and you dont want to have to run to a doctor for every little thing. it is a really great idea.

Hi hatley We should carry some essential medicines to safeguard ourselves during our journey if at all we face some trivial health problems. Definitely it come in handy at times. Generally I will get headache if I travel by bus or train for a long time followed by vomitting.

Yes I always take medical kit with me if it is going to be a journey for more than 3 hours or if it is a long picnic since we need to make sure that our journey is not hindered by sickness and illness. I always used to carry with me a pain balm and antibiotics.

Hi vinslounge What you think is correct to my knowledge. Our spirit of happy journey or picnic should not go low due to any sickness. For that it is better to carry a medical kit comprising of some band aids, bandages, pain balm, aspirin, and spirit

Hi balu I am happy that you are hale and healthy and wish you the same throughout your life. Being healthy always is also a gift from the God i think. Tenanus toxoid tht is TT vaccine is given when you are severely wounded or any sharp metallic object like nail or spring is pierced in your body. Because accidentally we may stamp the sharp items while playing. so to be on the safer side the doctors will inject you TT vaccine to avoid any septic. I think by this time you read this comment, you might have returned from your tour

hi vathsala30. Dorcas and I are very grateful to God we do not have to take any medicines. However, bringing an emergency kit along on travels, like bandages, etc., is a good idea. However, we seldom bring a kit with us. We used to be Emergency Medical Technicians and would keep a kit in the car with rubber gloves, touniquets (sp?), etc.

Hi patorp Since you are emergency medical technicians, I think you can manage the situations. I pray God to keep you in good health as you are doing now along with Dorcas. But any way, you are having a kit in the car with rubber gloves, touniquets, it will be handy when needed. Thanks for responding
