Yes, I believe that religion is a way of life. If it isn't then what is its purpose? Religion gives purpose to our life, telling us that there is a Supreme Being around who has prepared everything for us to be able to live life to the fullest. Religion teaches us all the things about good and bad to equip us in going through our life, giving us hope always. Of course, we fall along the way and religion shows us how to stand and continue the journey. Well, this is my opinion. Would you like to share your thoughts, guys?

Hi joetag .
It is refreshing to see a positive post on religion. I've seen people say on forums that religion causes war and other troubles, but really, it's their people that do it. Of course there is a handful of religions that are somewhat detrimental to society, but they are few.
Most important is to have a relationship with God Himself. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the actual life actions that we need to please God and purely help our fellowman. I asked Christ inside of me nearly 40 years ago.
Again, thank you for this very positive post!

You're most welcome, Pastor, and thank you too for your inspiring response. Yes, if only we look at religion as a way of life and establish and maintain harmonious relationship with our fellowmen then life after all is a great experience. Others use religion as their tool for advancement of their selfish interests and motives. It is sad to see these kinds of things.

Hi joetag, I agree with you that religion is a way of life, although many people see it differently. Eventually everyone must wake up to the truth that we are all one and that God is within us and within all things. When we harm another we are harming ourselves as well, when this is understood there will be no more war or homelessness, nor hunger for we will all help each other. Blessings.

Hi too, Pose123! That's a nice vision of a peaceful and harmonious world to live in. But, don't you think bad things are also allowed to happen because it has a purpose? So that we can learn from it? So that we will know between good and bad? What can you say?

Yes, for so many people Religion and a belief in god is a way of life. It is something that does often give a lot of people hope and a belief system for tomorrow and many days to come. What most people need to remember it is thru their Faith and Trust in god that keeps them to be able to do this. Not just attending Church. They need to have a Faith in god to see them thru, and thru Prayer and reading the Bible and giving their all to everything it entails as well.

Yes, I also believe in that. Religion is a way of life, hence "Applied Christianity". If you profess you are a Christian, but your surroundings don't see in you the characteristic of a Christian, then it is useless. Applied Christianity. Or, applied Islam.

Deep down we all know God. So as far as knowing God, religion is not needed. Religion is man's attempt to understand God as a group. This works as a catalyst to bring to the surface problems people have. Religion supplies interaction among people that might not come about otherwise. There are a million lessons learned around religion. None of them about God. Some say religion is responsible for moral people. We all know the consequences for our choices are what gives people the insight to know what are the right choices!!

hello joe.yes, religion is a away of life in its simplest definition.we know that there are other definition that are still accepted and this is one way for us to understand the different ideas about how we live, how we act and how we interact within the society we live in. even in the primitive period, people in the past have already the idea of existence but its quite vague but in our time we are open to different views and thought of our existence even the existence of God.what is important we shared different ideas that leads us to live life to the fullest.
