I lost my best friend.....

On 8th Jan my childhood friend, my buddy and closest friend suddenly passed away. We were school classmates from the 1st standard upto Matriculation and then together in Science college for 2 years. Then i drifted away into another sector but we were still constantly in touch.Through the years we kept in touch but could not meet often. We lost touch with each other for some years but once again reignited our friendship.
Our friendship continued to flourish until he left our city of birth and went to another city down south. On 3rd Jan i had a get-together of my old school classmates at my residence. He could not make it as he was not keeping good health, but he called up and spoke to me and all our friends who were very glad to hear his voice after 47 years. Therefore it was a shock when just 5 days later ,ie on 8th Jan his wife called me up at 6 am to give me the news that he had passed away at 3.30am. I was completely dumbstruck and could not utter a word. Somehow i managed to offer my condolences to her. Then later in the day i conveyed the news of his death to all my friends who were equally shocked.
We had a great childhood together and played, read, went for long walks, went for movies etc all together. He was my closest friend and noone can replace him. Yes, he had diabetes, high blood pressure and since the last 10 years Parkinsons disease but he was quite fit.but i never expected him to go so quickly. My friend, my buddy, may your soul rest in everlasting peace and may we meet again in another life and continue our friendship.

Your best friend can never be replaced but he will stay in your heart forever and you will go on with the knowledge that he is watching over you. I am so saddened by your discussion and I am so very sorry that you lost your dear friend. It is never an easy thing to go through, obviously and words cannot heal a heart that is grieving. I will keep you and your friend and his family in my prayers and send you my heartfelt condolences.

Thanks paula for your very kind words. I am not grieving because i know the truth and that he is as alive as you and me. The only thing is that he has taken another body in another world but he will be back soon on earth in a new body as he still has a lot do do in the earthly life. The soul will rest in peace only after it has reached the ultimate goal of life and that is to become one with God. For that the soul has to take many births before reaching the final goal.

I am very very sorry for you lost of your'e best friend I understand how you must feel.My Brother pass away 2yrs ago with diabetes he was only 48yrs old.and I still miss him.

Hi Veejay,
I am sorry about your friend.I know it's hard for us to accpet that fact that the people we know leave us forever. It's a ada things. But maybe your best friend is now enjoying his new life up in the heaven. No pain, only happy. Will that make you feel better. If i ever die, i will have my family celebrate for me, because i am not deah, i am reborn somewhere!

Yes my dear. I know that he is reborn in a new world free from disease, old age and all the trials of worldly life. He is lucky to be there and hence i am not grieving. I too will join him there some day and then we can renew our friendship once again.Thanks a lot.

I lost my very close friend. he is my childhood friend. I know him since from childhood.we were enjoying like anything. everyone in my friend's circle, have settled in their life, except my lost friend. he was loving one girl, she too loved him, AS in the movie, their love against by their parents. finally he consumed poison and left from us.... it was very shock to everyone suddenly demise. I Missed him very much.

hello jaggiking, sorry to hear about your friend and i can understand how you feel. Unfortunately nowadays people have started taking their lives for any reason and it is mostly younsters.I don`t know what to say about your friend, his love for that girl was too consuming but i feel that he should not have taken such an extreme step.By taking his life he has committed a murder, his own murder, which is a sin.He will realise it in the afterlife and he will have to atone for it in his next life. All we can do is pray for his soul and pray to god to pardon him.

I am so sorry for your loss. My eyes are full of tears right now. I can only imagine how it must feel to lose someone so dear to you. I hope you will remember the good times. It sounds like you had an amazing friendship that endured many, many years. You were blessed to have this person in your life. I truly wish you peace and comfort in these hard times.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It's tough losing a friend especially really close ones because they are just like family. I hope to not lose any of my connections with my childhood friends because I know how our time on this planet can be cut short at any minute. We just have to old on to each other until our last days.
May you remember all the fondest of memories and be reminded of all the happiness that you spent with him. I can only hope for the same. And like you I will also be hoping to see my friends and family in the after life as well.
It wouldn't be heaven to me without my closest friends and family members.

Thanks jambi. Yes i still have many friends with whom i have reunited recently and all of them are frommy school. Besides this i have also got reunited with a few working days friends so i have many relationships to hold on. My friend who passed away has been the longest one i have had, since we were 6 yrs old and i wish he hadn`t left me so quickly ,but thats fate.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss of your best friend. I too lost my very best friend earlier this year. She and I didn't have the same kind of history as your friend and yourself have, but she was my nearest and dearest friend none the less. And, much like with your best friend it was somewhat shocking to hear that she had passed away. If there is anything at all that you find you need to talk to someone about, please let me know.

...Hi veejay, This is very sad to hear that you have lost such a dear friend. May you find comfort in the fact that you and he shared your schood time together. That you kept in touch through the years and reunited. There are not many people that we knew in school, when we were young that we still are in touch with in our older years. When we lose a friend or a relative, it is a shock, as we sometimes think people are going to be here with us forever. But the time comes when they depart. You will have your very own memories of your good friend to carry with you. Do keep him in your heart, try to stay in touch with his family who will be so sad as well. Take good care.
