I like dogs very much, the bigger the better. In my opinion, big dogs are more clever than small. they can accompany you to take exercise and long distance walking. In relative terms, I don't like cats. my mother had a cat some years ago, a naughty and troublesome cat. when i go to sleep, it would jump onto my body and play on there so as to make me awake, and then run away. it wouldn't eat regular food if it saw some better. it cries nearly every night. I don't think all kinds of cats are unbearable like my mother, but i really don't like them. what about you?

I love both dogs and cats. Like you I prefer big dogs. But there are very clever little dogs so that's not the reason. I just like cuddling with big dogs.. I like something that is big enough to protect me.. :-)
Regarding your experience with your mothers cat.. it would be interesting to note that cats are a bit more nocturnal than dogs.. so the reason the cat would jump on you at night is because it probably had slept all day and night time was playtime for her.. Also if it was a young cat KITTENS are WAY more rambunctious.
About the food.. I think ANY animal including human. would leave a meal they get day after day after day for something better! I know I would!
And as for it crying every night. If it was an un-neutered cat it would definately cry all night -it is looking for a mate.. Getting the cat fixed is an easy and more healthy solution. Healthy for the cat and healthy for you as you would be able to sleep.
I have 4 dogs and 14 cats and I love them all. Some of the cats act like dogs. they are funny to watch and often the come when called better than my dogs.. :-)

I like both cats and dogs. Having come from a family that loved animals (it was pretty much a zoo at home), I have a like for most animals. However, the more independent they are the more I like them. Cats are very independent. I personal own 2 dogs and a kitten. I had a cat that just passed about a year or so ago but I had him for 19 years (2/3 of my life). He was called the necro cat cause he was the only service of his litter and then lived for a long time. My dogs are both 8, one is a full lab and the other is a chitzu (not sure on the spelling) and border collie mix. Unknown breed for the kitten (shes a pound rescue). So in conclusion I like both but prefer cats.

I agree with you.. My favorite Dog was actually the most independent - I loved the fact that he thought on his own and made up his own mind.. He got in trouble a bit.. but we worked it out eventually. LOL
A shih -tzu border collie mix.. That must be an interesting looking dog. Do you have any pictures?

It must be a great happiness for you that you have so many pets. your explanation of cat's action is reasonable. however, I am afraid that I have no courage to feed a cat anymore.

I agree with your word "they are not fighting each other". when they grow up together or live with each other for a long time, they will not fight.

I like both dogs and cats the same.As a child i grew up with cats and when i got married we had both cats and dogs.I do think that cats asre easier to look after as they tend to do most of the things for themselves where as a dog it requires alot of exercise aswell as loads of playing.

When I was a child, I had both cats and dogs. But, for the most part I had cats. I still would rather have a cat than a dog. I like their independence and I like that they are cleaner than a dog. You don't have to worry about whether or not they have to go outside. With a cat, you just need a litter box.

I am agreeing with the statement that dogs are the best but I don't agree that big dogs are better than small.Everyone have their own abilities.

I like both, actually I have both. Dog is very loyal and I agree they are smart. They are likeable and they can help a lot in cheering you up. Unlike cats, cats have different personalities. Some of them are sweet, some are naughty, some are snob. They only come to you if they want food. But it really depends. I like cat because I can hug them all the time. I can carry them and hug them, and play with them. my cats are sweet. They go beside me when I am sleeping and they are the ones who greet me every morning, of course because they are asking for food. My dogs , when I arrived home they show to me that they are very happy. They are ready for a play when they saw me and i will say not now then they stop playing with me. As if they understand what I already said. I like them both.

I like cats more than dogs as i grew up a cat,but i havent grew up a dog, eventhough people say that dogs are really the ones to have..i think that cats look cute and do not make much noise and they are easy to maintain unlike the dogs and i think that they do not disturb your work much and they are really handy which makes us to easily carry them with ease..thats the reason that i love cats more than dogs..i think it varies according to people..

I am not fond of cats but I love dogs so much. If you prefer bigger dogs I prefer smaller ones. The smaller the better because it will be easier for me to carry them. I adore small dogs because they look so cute.

I used to prefer cats, and the way that you have to earn their attention. In a funny way the cat dancing on you while you slept was a sign of affection. Anyway now that I am older and I enjoy outdoor activity a lot of the time alone, I prefer my dog hands down. She is my best buddy and she is always with me. Since I work for myself I never have to lock her up or leave her alone. I still like cats, just don't prefer them.
