I noticed tonight that Microworkers is listed for sale on Flippa. The minimum bid is $10,000 and the buy it now price is $50,000. In case you don't know, Microworkers is an MTurk (and myLot Tasks) competitor that pays you to do small tasks. I thought it was a pretty good site all in all, but if it is sold I wonder what its future will be. It's possible that a scammer might buy it and stop paying people or someone not up to the job will drag the site down. It's a shame the owners are selling it...I was impressed with how they handled dispute resolution. However, the price they've set is quite high and there are no bids so far (the auction will run for 29 more days). Maybe they're just testing the waters and aren't determined to sell.

Lol? They don't even make enough profits to make it worth $1000 to me. It's also not a very sustainable business structure. They will NEVER sell at that price, unless they get lucky.. and even then.. hahah.
I was on there before, was NOT impressed by the site.

Well, according to their Flippa listing their gross per month is $6,000 and profit per month $1,000 which rather surprised me. Of course, in the description they say "Website is very popular - much more than mturk from Amazon.com." which doesn't seem to ring true if you compare the jobs available on each site. Nonetheless, the site does seem to have become busier and I don't really see anything wrong with the business structure.

No worries for me
I always hated that site,I heard a lot of good things about microworkers,so i checked & find no good thing for me there.as I was already working with mturk & I found mturk is far better than microworker. So I just didn't do anything there.
Are you working with microworkers,if yes or if no,don't worry in both the cases as if you don't work there, ofcourse it shouldn't affect you whether who buy it & If you do & it is for sale now, don't worry many other good sites like mturk & mylot are there for us.

I'm not a heavy user of Microworkers, but have used it both as a worker and as an employer and planned to use it more. I thought it definitely had/has its good points...for one thing, it had a dispute resolution process that seemed to work pretty well. MTurk (which I've used for years) has nothing of the kind.

No wonder I couldn't seem to log into the site. I was going to see if there were any jobs I could actually do. Most of the time, the jobs there were dating sites. Since I'm married, it wouldn't do my any good to go to that site.

My understanding is that the site didn't end up selling after all. As far as I know, it's still a good, paying site, and I was able to login there today without any problem. You're absolutely right about the dating site thing, though! At any given time, it seems like there are just a handful of tasks I'd actually consider doing, but I keep coming back for that handful!

Microworkers is a good site they even pay me $11 for my first cashout and now Im waiting for my 2nd payout. And also i like the technical support they are fast and nice. Hope they will not sell the site.
