Leaders are to be called the top most person above all. They have acquired more knowledge and skills that they apply in their future career. They are the one who guides and leads the people to a better person. Leaders that has the ability to make a good decisions in an unpredictable challenges. But what is really the character of a leader to make him unique among others? One thing I think that makes a leader unique is he himself builds leaders around him, by letting his people free to share their ideas and skills that they gain through their experiences.

A good leader has the ability to know the skills, strengths and weaknesses of the people in his/her team. He/she knows how to trust those people and can 'let go' the compulsion that many people feel to do the job themselves.
One reason that many of us feel that a job is only done properly if we do it ourselves (and it is that that limits many of us in becoming a leader) is a disproportionate sense of our own importance. Humility is therefore one of the most important qualities in a true leader.
A good leader must be able to hold an overview of a project without being tempted to concentrate on detail. At the same time, he/she must be able to address the detail of a particular part of the project in discussion with the team without losing sight of the whole view. A good leader will be aware of the problems that may face his/her team and will know what resources need to be employed to help and train each individual in a timely fashion so that the whole project is successful. He or she will be able to communicate with the team (and with his/her superiors) on the progress of the project at any stage and will be able to inspire confidence and understanding in the importance of each member of the team.
