Are good leaders born or made?

Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do. Anyone can be a leader but it doesn't mean they are effective for not all are gifted with the gift of leadership. Your subordinates maybe following you because of your position but maybe they don't respect it. At the same time also, as long as you have the strong desire and will power, you can become an effective leader. So what do think? Are good leaders born or made?

Hard to answer this question . we have so many different definitions to leadership and there are so many factors to consider.Some times they are made because for me good leaders need a lot of experience to understand their teams or subordinates. Leaders are made because they also learn on how to lead teams successfully.
