This is just an example of lack of trust in the relationship. We all at some point experience insecurities in our relationship and deal with them differently. However, we shouldn't allow one partner to dictate the life of another because then we just lose who we are and turn into a slave. I suspect that these two have had a fight or argument over this issue and one just showed what he can do. They need to talk and figure out where the line is drawn. This is a normal situation I believe.

HHmmm I think that your friend has trust issues which could of course be HIS personal issue OR something happened to cause it..either way, it is somehting IMO that should be addressed and resolved before it becomes a major problem.
