Quitting Smoking

I've been smoking quite a while, I've seen family members die from smoking, I know alot of people getting cancer and listened to their stories of chemo and radiation and how horrible it is to go thru, yet I continue to smoke. I lost my father to smoking, it is a horrible experience that I wouldn't want my kids to go thru losing me as their mom, not to mention my husband and I spend about $70 a week on cigarettes and yet I still can't quit smoking. I've wore the patch, that didn't work, I'm scared to try Chantix from all the horrible side effects I've read on. I've also recently learned there is 3rd hand smoke people get from smelling the cigarettes on us smokers. Is there any quitters out there that have a new technique or suggestions in mind to help people quit?

U can live without it. its not ur wheal chair mean u can not work without it. dear i have an simple example. a child that is very hungry. & child want choclate & other junk food ok, but know bad effects of junk food & u trying give him healty food. and if u trying him eat with pressure he never eat.
