New Jersey has passed an act to make the use of medical cannibas legal. California has passed an act to fully legalize, and control the production and distribution to adults of and over the age of 21. Washington state will be voting next week on a similar bill. What are your thoughts about Cannabis Legalization? Do you support the freedom of americans to make their own choices, or are you still under the spell of the Regan administration and think that all Cannabis related products are "The Devil" Please let me know what you think. We Legalization supporters would love to know. And those of you that support the Legalization but have nothing intelligent to say should feel free to support it silently.

I'll admit, I'm a bit divided about it. Don't get me wrong....I think it's about time, and past time, for the legalization of cannabis. I have a problem with the government having control over the production and distribution of it. To me it's going to end up, as with most other things in the U.S., all about money. They're probably going to tax the heck out of it and impose very strict rules about who can and can't have it. That bothers me. If it's for medical use, then it should be controlled by the medical industry, not by the government. MHO. I'm an American but I live in Argentina. As with Canada, as the other responder said, we can carry enough for personal consumption here in Argentina. Doesn't even have to be for medical use! lol.

The only way to get the US Government's attention it seems, is to wag money in front of their faces. They are trying to amend the Bills to promote home growing in small quantities, and For Large Farms to buy a License $500 per year to grow up to a certain amount.

Money, money, money. That's what everything comes down to ultimately. At least, it's a step in the right direction. I think licensing for home growing is an excellent idea as well as money for farmers. It always saddens me just how archaic some of the laws in the U.S. are in comparison to other parts of the world on certain issues. But, like I said, at least it's a step.....

here in ontario (canada) it is legal to carry an ounce of pot if you have a medical reason. it has been this way for many years and i have actually known someone who needed to take it and said that it did really help.
