Some people seem to eat whatever they want and they have no problems with getting cavities. Are you one of those people?

Well I wouldn't say that I'm one of those people, because I've had a few cavities before but its been a long time since I've had one. I try to take care of my teeth as best as I can, because I don't want to end up getting dentures, I've seen how painful that is, and I don't want to ever go through that, I make sure I keep all my dental appts. and keep my teeth and gums healthy.

No I'm not. I have cavities. Most of them are from when I was a child and didn't brush my teeth so well.

Our family tree had a strong teeth. Never had a tooth extraction in my entire life. My wife too had a strong teeth. Though we had this in both our family, we still never forget to visit the doctor at least once a year. I never missed to visit our company dentist to have my teeth cleaned every four or five months. My kids had a strong teeth too but better to keep it that way than to wear a false teeth when they become older. Cavities develops every now and then, but the good thing is that the dentist is just a phone call away to remove them.

i think genetics play a certain part at strong teeth like your family.

Yes I have seen people like that and I don't know how they do it. I have seen people that eat all kinds of junk and dont ever brush their teeth and still have no cavities. Me on the other hand. I think I take pretty good care of my teeth. I brush twice a day and dont really eat too much junk. I have a lot of cavities and problems with my teeth though. I think I just have bad teeth. I think I also passed this on to my son. The ppor thing is only five years old and we atke care of his teeth but he has already had lots of cavities and dental work.

my mom was born with an enamel defect when it came to her teeth. she basicly didn't have enamel protection when she was born. the only way she wouldn't get a cavity is if she stayed away from sweets altogether,i would assume. thats hard to do in todays times and she has a sweet tooth. i figure i inherited it somewhat when it came to my teeth but the dentist never said i had a enamel defect but i got cavities but its more from being a sugar addict more than anything. i try to take better care of my teeth now more than i ever did. i definitely need to go to the dentist more buy considering i don't go that much i think i'm managing my oral health very well.

when i was young, i had cavities and lost teeth that often. i loved chocolate and candies and i even slept off without brushing my teeth. my mom just asked me if i have done it and i just said yes even if i didn't. i lied every time tooth brushing was the topic. now i often visit the dentist since we had one in our neighborhood so my teeth check up is updated.

I think I'm one of those people. I've never had a cavity. But it's not like I eat lots of candy or anything, so I guess that helps.

Well, although I have a good set of teeth, can not deny that I ever had and still have some minor problems of dental caries. In this period, I skipped two fillings (tooth is below that in one of top). I must make an appointment with the dentist, although this time we are close to the summer, otherwise I risk the worst damage to the teeth.
