..with no or very few responses? I found myself sifting through about 10 4-year-old (!!) discussions with ZERO responses when I mis-spelled a word in the discussions search box. What a weird situation!
Do you respond to these discussions? (I did..to a few..But my answers were pretty lame, as I hold no hope of the user who started it to turn up suddenly after 4 years to comment or read the response I gave them..Oh well)
What's the oldest discussion you've run across here? How did you run across it?
Is it bizarre to anyone else that discussions that have been here for 3+ years still haven't gotten any responses?
Weird, much?!

Likewise I have come across quite a few old discussion many of which are a little obscure so that they have no responses, although I don't think any of them were 4 years old, just 3, lol. I responded to a few but similarly didn't expect to get a response as I am sure the members who started them had long given up on here.
It's sort of fun looking through some of these older discussions and what was being said back when myLot was just starting out.

Hi, maezee. I am pretty sure that I have ran across discussions that are 4-year-old discussions. Most of them have a good bit of comments posted to them. And, I have done the 2 and 3 year old as well. I do find that odd that after being four years then someone would have at least commented on the discussions. I guess the discussion is one that is found to be deeply down underneath all of the discussions, where no one could find them... I have commented on a few discussions, but I am not sure if it was an four year old discussion.

Four years ago, the site was very different. There weren't as many users and the active users would start a lot of conversations in a day. If you were starting 40+ discussions in a day, you wouldn't get a response to every single one.

Actually if your discussion doesn't get any responses within the first few days your not likely to. After that point it's easy for the discussion to just sit there unnoticed for years. If I stumble on one I'll still respond. The user might still be active.

Hi Maezee,
Indeed I have come across :
1) Discussions with zero responses since last 3 + years.
2) Discussions with good responses, yet unresolved and 4 years old !!
I did respond to one on superheroes a few moments back.

I haven't responded to any four year old discussions or not at least that I am aware of. I think the oldest discussion with no response is about nine months old. I still responded to it because in my opinion a response is a response and while the member that started the discussion may not be returning you never know who else might see it and maybe even find the response helpful....

I wanted early this evening or late afternoon to ask what mylotters prefer more, coffee or tea. Worried that someone else may have asked this question already, I typed it in the search box. Lo and behold! There it was with three responses. It was posted 4 years ago and the last response was 3 years ago!
While I was having second thoughts about posting that question again, eurekafemme posted a question of the same subject. Now all I had to do was respond. The topic is doing well by the way with some 59 mylotters responding. ;-)

Yes I have run across some old ones before, In fat there was a few that I actually responded to that were 3 years old. I have seen others in here older. But I also checked and the writers were no longer here or had not logged in for years, so I didn't respond to them.
