When you were still in school what type of crowd do you hang out with? I can remember that when I was still in second grade I am part of the genius/ smart crowd in our school. I was popular in our school due to brains. However, my girl bestfriend was very popular in our school because of charm and beauty. I am part of our School Paper Organ. I always win Quiz Bee, Spelling Bee, Essay Writing Contest, etc. My bestfriend always win in beauty contests and dance contests and is a part of our school's Cultural Presentation Group. Funny though that even if we have a different crowd we ended up being best of friends until now. How about you? What type of crowd do you hang out with when you were still in school? Or are you the loner or introvert time who just like spending time alone. :)

When I was in high school, I was more of the outsider, which, most people would find unbelievable. I am considered an extrovert, which means I am very open and like to meet people and hang out. Unfortunately, due to my religion at the time, I was not quite accepted in my high school. I was ridiculed, my house was attacked and many times we would get calls in the middle of the night where students from my high school would call my mother names. I was involved in many different groups, ROTC, school newspaper, sports, yet, I was not accepted.
College was a different story. I went to a university in Washington, D.C. and was in a fraternity, student government and had a great time. Spent much time going to parties, yet, did get good grades. The university that I went to was predominately filled with students of the same faith as myself.
So, overall I am an in-person, yet, I am not a "stoner", rapper or anything like that.

It is so sad that people could be harsh to other people just because that person is different from them. At least, when I am in high school though I don't hang out with student's I don't consider "in" I don't treat them bad. I talk to them when they talk to me. I don't say bad things about them and I respect their own individuality and belief. That could also be the reason I don't hang out with them when I was in high school. It is because I just want to be safe. I don't want to get into confrontation with people who has a different belief, attitude or outlook in life. This has changed when I was in college because in our school you can be "you". People are more mature. They knew what and what not to say. Unlike in high school, everyone still seems to be childish. They would laugh at you because you said something they find ridiculous. They make fun of you and during that time boys are still boys. I have classmates who still makes the girls in the class cry by teasing them non- stop. Well, I still have guy friends who were like that in college but at least the girls are more mature also to handle the teasing and instead of crying would juts slap them. Hahahaha!

i hung out with everyone from what people call "upper class" to "white trash".
i was the girl that got along well with everyone. you can classify me as a loner to some degree. but i would be in this group for awhile...then another. i accept people for who they are....flaws and all. i just like people to be real not fake and i hate liars. some of my friends were in groups they didn't want to be. they had to follow tradition..:(
so i am "IN" to everyone if they are real. no matter to their race or social status.

That's great! :) When I was in second grade though I don't really mingle with everyone. In our school you will be popular if you either belong in a group of people with Brains or the group of people with Charm and Beauty. You could say I used to discriminate people and I only go along with my crowd or those people I consider as worth hanging out with. I don't hang out with the not popular group. Oh! There was actually another group that was so popular way back grade school. They were the group who loves to bully students and to make trouble. We call them "teacher's enemy." Everything has changed when I went to college. My horizon has expand and so I learned to go along with everyone. My school is a melting pot. A very liberal school also. I learned to go along with everyone and different type of crowd. :)

I was one of those gals in school that tried to get along with everyone. I wasn't by any means popular but I was a nice kid and tried to be everyone's friend. Of course there were the meanies out there that felt the need to be cruel to kids and for some reason or another they did enjoy picking on me. Their loss though on my friendship!

I was lucky enough to be friends with most different groups of people so I was able to mix with different crowds.
I'd say the crowd I fit in best with were the sociable types, we used to go to parties every weekend and that sort of stuff.
I was never very interested in studying when I was at high school so I didn't really relate to the people that were.
I wouldn't say we were the in crowd but certainly not out either. Just middle of the range I guess.

I was in the Smart Outcasts side, so I never had a lot of friends or was part of a crowd.
I was in the Chess Club, National Honor Society, Oral and Written Communication Club, and so on. You get the picture.
The good thing is that, now that we are all out of school, I'm still friends with the people I used to hang out at school. One of them is married. We are all grown ups now (23-25).

Is that how people consider your crowd in your school. In my school the Smart crowd is very popular. Almost all of the students from 1st grade up to Senior knew you if you are smart. Your name and picture will always be published in School Paper. You can see your name always posted in the School's Bulletin Board especially if you won a competition. Before the flag raising ceremony you will be asked to go in front so that it can be announced to everyone that you made the School proud again by winning the competition. Almost everyone knew you wherever part of the school you go. I actually love it when me and my bestfriend hangs out in our cafeteria together (just the two of us). Students will great us and even teachers. Everyone smiles at you and wants to be your friend. That is the reason the best days of my life was when I was still in high school. :)
