Hey myloters! I was just wondering what everyone's favorite animated movie was. And do you prefer 3D animation or 2D animation? Let us know! My favorite animated film is Pixar's Wall-E. I'm a big fan of all of Pixar's films, but my favorite so far is Wall-E. I think it's a cute and meaningful film. But I actually prefer 2D animation over 3D. I think its much more artsy and it can be very beautiful.
How about you?

I love Monsters Inc. too. It's a fun one. I happen to think most animated movies appeal to adults as well, and if they don't then it's not a very good children's movie. lol

There are so many to choose from it's hard. I'm a big fan of all the Disney Pixar movies. I have my childhood favorites like Aladin and Little Mermaid too. It's a toss up between Shrek and Ice Age. We just watched the 3rd Ice Age movie with the kids and it had us laughing pretty good. I love the ones like Shrek though that have the hidden jokes that only the adults get. It makes the movie enjoyable for both the kids and the adults.

You guys have to help me. This is all your fault.
I keep thinking about an old movie I used to watch. All I remember is it starts with a kid hunting his cat with a water pistol, and he's pretending he's a hunter and the cat is a fierce tiger. At some point he gets turned into a sparrow.
What movie is this? This is urgent fellow MyLotters

There are a lot of good animated movies out there. Really too many to mention. I would have to go with Aladdin. A great Disney movie that holds up after all these years. Plus, it has my favorite Disney villain in Jafar. For the happiest place on earth, there are some creepy and sinister villains coming out of Disney. Still, if I had to pick one, that movie would be the one.

Hi allyoftherain, I don't know if Beowulf is an animated movie but if it is then it is my favorite animated movie created. It is very alive and it looks pretty real for me...you don't need the 3D glasses to feel it. I like Wall-E too, such a great story and I love how it is created. Nice topic you started her, happy mylotting.

My favorite animated films are the older ones, like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. I still try to watch them every once in a while. They just make you happy, you know? I also prefer 2D over 3D, but there are some nice 3D movies too. I think my favorite of those would be Finding Nemo.

Those are some of my favorite 2D films, too. I also like Finding Nemo. Pixar makes such great films because they put the story first. I haven't seen a single Pixar film I haven't liked.

I am a fan of animated movies and I love most of it. One that really stood out is the movie UP, which i think was released last year. I didn't get to see it in widescreen, because I thought it wasn't worth it. But, when I finally got to watch it on DVD, it really moved me. I didn't expect it to have that much content.
I still prefer 2D, over 3D. I don't enjoy wearing those goggles. It gives me a headache.

It's between Fantasia and Sleeping Beauty. :-) 3D animation is fun, but it doesn't make or break the movie for me. I enjoyed Wall-E also...
