I happen to talk to a very poor man, older than I am, and we discussed many things about life but what intrigued me most is when he said that he became so poor because of the oppressive system in the economy. He blames this to the rich whom he accused of monopolizing all the good businesses there are because of their vast financial resources giving less opportunities to those who have less resources. This man said the rich are just a few and went on to call them the elite. He said the rich become more richer if more people become poor and more poor people become more poorer. He analyzed that if all people are well-to-do we cannot define who is rich or who is poor so there has to be poor people so that there will be rich people. There will be no rich if there are no poor. I wonder if there is really a gap between the rich and the poor. Guys, this is just for the sake of discussion, and nothing personal.

I guess there really isn't a gap between the rich and the poor. Each one of us is subjected to the same perks and difficulties in life. I guess we have different settings, different circumstances, different lives, but we all are subject to the same emotions, the same opportunities, and the same end to our lives. You may find a happy person living in a mansion and also a happy person living in a small house. Same emotions but different settings.
