Regardless of whether or not Rush was high or not (please remember he has been sober for quite some time), please note that his so called "off the wall comments" are completely accurate 99% of the time. Rush certainly has a strong personality, but if you actually spend the time listening to his entire show, you would know that he actually is a true American who cares deeply about what happens to this country, and if you actually did your research, I am sure you would be quite surprised about him. Furthermore, he is a radio personality, he has a persona to uphold. That persona is what makes him #1, thats right, #1 in all of talk radio. As for his addiction to OxyContin, I take OxyContin, and although I do not have an addition to it, I am able to articulate my thoughts, go about my daily business and even perform my paralegal job quite well. So no, I do not believe that his "off the wall comments" had anything to do with his addiction.

i only see him on tv when he makes certain remarks such as the comment about haiti recently. i don't think thats accurate but absurd. i don't listen to radio that much except when i'm in the car so i don't listen to his show. the only time i hear about him is when hes on tv.

I have often thought that he was high on something. LOL I didn't know about his addictions until I read this post, but now that I know, it sure seems to explain a lot of his behaviour.

I'd say probably both, but who listens to him anyway? I know I don't, and I don't agree with anything he says.
