Hello guys, since I opened account on paypal I never tried using it to buy online.
I'm afraid the thing I would buy might not reach at my door step.
Have you already tried it buying online?
What are the advantages and the disadvantages?
Just want to know...

Hi i think that you have to really check upon a site before buying a product..even though i havent spent my paypal amount,my father did it in ebay and got a electronic product which reached in good condition to my house and it is working properly till now..i think that ebay is the best and safest site to buy a product and i suppose you would also be knowing about ebay's reputation and if you still doubt about it you should check their terms..
Happy Mylotting..

so far, i never tried buying things online and more, i never tried paypal to pay for something, online. i only use to transfer my paypal money to my bank account here. i am not afraid of something will happen along the way in buying online or using paypal, but i just don't have something i wanted to buy online. if i can get it offline, i will just have to cash in my hand and go shopping at malls.

Hi Mob,
No not yet. I don't have any plans of using it to purchase anything online. i am saving it for something else. in our country, shopping is not that hard because our mallas are very accessible. so there's no need to shop online. we can go straight and pick our choice and go back if there's a problem because shopping malls are accessible.
I don't here in the Philippines. But i had an experience buying o nline when i am in the US. I purchased Proactive and shoes.

I understand that my friend because i am also living here in the philippines. Malls are just a stone-throw away and no need to use our paypal account.. what i mean if you have something you like online where you can't find it outside, how true that items you bought would really reach at your doorsteps. Some said here they got already tried it and it was doing well...
Anyway, thanks for responding my dear friend..

yes you can have it... it will be delivered in your doorsteps. our celebrities and people with money here in our country do this. they place an order online and use their paypal account or any international credit card and everything will be processed accordingly.

I have only bought a few things online. The few things I did buy was thru a paypal account. I think the advantage is if there is a dispute paypal will intervene. I always thought sites that used paypal were more trustworthy. However a friend of mine bought something thru them and never received the item. Paypal looked into it, but the site had closed and they told her there was nothing they could do. She lost the money and never did receive the item. I still think they are more trustworthy than not.

Yes, I think it was the site. My friend contacted Pay Pal and they investigated, but couldn't do anything for her.

Yeah I already did. I purchased four pendants which are all delivered well in our doorsteps. I purchased through e-bay so that at least I can file a dispute if things might go wrong. Advantages would be the buyer protection program that Paypal applies to its members. Although I am not quite fully familiarized with the whole system, you can always file a dispute to Paypal if the thing your ordered is not delivered to you same as if your seller is no longer can be reached by all means.

In my case, since I opened my paypal account, I'd never used it to buy any service or products online. The first reason is that I want to hold it up till it will have more money for me.I use to be informed trough different sources that purchasing in the internet using paypal doesn't cause ant trouble,as long as you enter the correct information respectively. I am planning now to use my paypal account to build my own website.

I have had a PayPal account for 6 years now and have never had a problem with a transaction. Using PayPal eliminates putting your credit card or personal info out there that someone might see. I'm not sure about personal accounts but I do know that a business account once you verify your bank account with PayPal you can withdraw and add funds with NO cost. Don't quote me but I think a personal account is the same and it gives you a verified status. (More Trustworthy) You are allowed to have 1 personal and 1 business account and there is a lot of advantages to having a business account for 1 you are allowed a lot more transactions verses a personal account. it is all explained in the FAQ's as far as the advantages. Hope this will help you make a good decision.

I have been purchasing online for a least 6 years with Paypal. I have never had any problems. The advantage is that you don't have to give your bank account or credit card numbers to all the merchants you purchase from. I haven't experienced any disadvantages yet except that all merchants don't take Paypal.

The only on-line shopping I've ever done through paypal is my e-bay shopping. That seems to be the only way to pay. The reason why I have my paypal accounts is so that I can transfer money from my Canadian bank to my American bank. I prefer to use my credit cards for shopping on line because I get the points.

I do use paypal to buy things online. I like it because my money is protected by using them. I only have to share my account info once and that is when I sign up for paypal. From then on out..I just have to press buy it now. I don't have to worry about sharing info online for a hacker to get. Take care.
