Can you access mylot and other online stuff at work?

You need to be careful if you do this and it is against your companies policy. There are ways of tracking where you go online and if your boss thinks you are spending too much time away from work you can get into trouble or be dismissed.

When I had my job, if I brought my laptop with me I could log on to the net. Though One of two things, of course while I was working I wasn't suposed to, and on the other hand, I did it on breaks when I was waiting to be picked up. They have a wireless router now, but I have to figure out the code to access it. Shouldn't be to hard. Maybe I'll figure out next time I'm there with my laptop.

Yes at my office I have access to all the websites but then too I generally don’t do it because we are not supposing to. I mean we go to work there and so we are not suppose to open anything which is not related to work. This is what I feel and more over, I hardly get time to go to other websites apart from the ones that are of use to me.

Yeah. I have 24 hour internet access in office. And most of the times, I would be using internet to do mylot or some or the other internet stuff. I dont have any restriction as such but if i have some work, then I won't be doing it.These days, i don't have much work so I am pretty free and can indulge in mylot activities at office only. infact, whatever activity I do, I do it while I am at office. after coming home, I hardly open up mylot.

I do too. It's fun, isn't it... I call it my skiving time. But I will always make it a point never to skive too much that I neglect my work. Normally, when I'm about to finish some things, then I'll take a break for a moment, get in mylot or Facebook and then log out and continue with work until I finish.

I have thought about that for awhile now! I'm sure i could get away with it..but should i try!

Hello alohagems100, not all website are accessible here in my office. They set-up some firewalls and add some sites to restrict. As far as I know, I don't have access with mylot before, together with other social networking sites, such as twitter, facebook, friendster, some blogs etc. But lately we do have access with mylot and twitter, and it made me happy. Facebook and Friendster are still blocked. But of course, I am here at work, my priority is to finish my job first before I can check my other online stuff. When I'm done with my deliverables, that is when I get the chance to surf the internt. Thank you for the discussion.

Yes, I can and I do it almost every day! When I have a break I access my facebook account to play on my happy aquarium and sometimes, if I have time I post some responds here on mylot!
