How often do you wear a dress?

Okay, so here is this thing that seems to bother a few people i know. For some reason, they cannot understand how it is possible for me not to wear a dress. I mean really. What is the big deal? Just because i am a women, doesn't mean i have to wear dresses, does it? I am much more comfortable in a pants or jeans. I work very hard everyday, i am a machine minder, so a dress wil not do. I must admit, i do not even own a dress. I cannot remember when i even last wore one. So now you can all have your little laugh and tell me honestly, do you like wearing a dress or is pants more your style? Don,t be shy, i promise i will not make fun of you. Not yet, in any way.

i hate anything other than pants/jeans ~ and if my working place allows pants i will be the first one to wear them - another thing i hate is wearing the "Saree" yes it is beautiful but dear me i can feel the sweat rolling down my thighs and my waist ... cheers

Hi sweetie, i am not that fond of shopping, but do enjoy yourself. It sounds very nice though. And for all those dresses, enjoy wearing every single one of them TATA.

I do wear dresses when I worship every Sunday. I believe God wants me to dress that way when I go to church to worship Him. But during the rest of the days, I wear slacks or pants because commuting from home to the office is quite tough. I guess it would be hard if I wear dress or skirts. Wearing pants or slacks facilitates my moves and allows me to stay active all day. Inside the office, I still feel more comfortable in slacks although I am just sitting mostly all day. I feel secured when my legs are covered actually because I could avoid mosquitoes. With dresses although I always wear lengths below the knees part of my legs are still exposed. Besides that I want my legs covered to protect them from the sun while commuting my way to the office.

Yes, fortunately, we can wear pants to church. It has to be more like the fashionable kind, as we try to look decent at least one day in the week. I just knew tht most of us DO actually prefer pants and that it is more comfortable, without worrying about something going wrong. Have a nice day.

My dear I believe we can always be decent 7 days a week even when wearing pants some days. I do wear pants or slacks on weekdays but I make sure I still look decent. I value modesty a lot so I believe I have to be a responsible lady when it comes to my apparel.

I only wear dresses during special occasions like a wedding or something. I'm mostly in jeans and a cute t-shirt. I guess I'm more laid back like that. Sometimes though, I would come across a really cute dress that I want, so I would buy it and save it for a special occasion.

Oh, those special occasions. I just love my jeans, but we have to try and look nice once in a while, i think. TATA.

I have lots of dresses but I can't stand to wear them. But I have to wear them if I am going to an interview. I would rather wear jeans and a T-shirt myself I like to be comfortable. All the places I am applying to require you to dress up which I am not liking but it is only for 4 days a week and on Friday you can wear jeans so id I have to dress up only 4 days I don't mind as long as the pay is good! But like I said I defenitly would prefer to be comfortable with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt.

Well, if you just have to wear them 4 days a week do it. At least you have the rest of the week to live in pants and be comfortable. If it is required, there is nothing we can do, eccept, go with the flow. Nice day.

when i was in college, i was embarrased to wear a dress. one time i went to hong kong and saw them wearing blouses , skirts with rubber shoes. i was attracted and tried it. since them i find it more comfortable to wear skirts than pants. wearing dresses followed after that.

Hi saphrina. Pants are definitely more my style. Particularly jeans! I love jeans! I'm pretty sure the last time I wore a dress was back when my oldest turned 2. So it's going on 11 years now. Happy mylotting!

Hi Saphrina, I really just can't imagine why others even care whether or not you wear dresses. I own dresses but I very rarely wear them. In the summertime I might wear a skirt or a dress because they are cooler than jeans and I don't wear shorts. You should just wear whatever you are comfortable in and not worry about what others think.

My point exactly. YOU are the one wearing it, so whether others like it or not. That is their problem.

Sometimes I do. I usually save dresses for special occasions. Which puts me wearing them 2-3 times a year.

Hi, saphrina. I love wearing an dress. I have not worn one in about an year or so. I have a couple of dresses. I really need to go shopping for me some new clothes. I usually will wear capris or pants around the house. If you are a machine minder, then that is understandable that you are only able to wear pants. Wear what makes you comfortable.

You can wear a dress 3x a day or it's up to you when you go to party you wear a gown or formal attire when go to a work. the next one is when you are in the house, wearing short & pants or jeans. And the lasting is when you go to your bed wearing panjamas & shirt. I wear a jeans when I went to bathroom. But it's not good to always wear a dress, when you take a shower.lol

well, for me i'm more used to wearing pants or jeans than to wear a dress. i only wear dresses when i need to or when i go to a special occasion. that really is not my style. sometimes i feel like wearing one but i make sure i don't stay out too long. it's always cold here in my town so wearing a skirt or a dress isn't very recommended. so i guess, i'm a pants person.

It is strange to hear that most of us prefer pants. But we cannot always please everybody and we need to feel comfortable in what we wear. For you, as a personal favour, i will recommend any pants, you fancy. Have a nice day.

I wear a dress at least once a week to church. Always when going out on a date. Wearing a dress just makes me feel very feminine. In fact, I look for any occasion I can to wear a dress. Nothing like a swingy dress and sandals.

Well, there we have it. Women wear whatever they feel good and comfortable in. And of course what they feel sexy in. No matter, dress or parts we all will stay and feel like women. That is the best part of this whole discussion, knowing that most of us like to feel feminine, no atter what the attire.

I only wear a dress on occasions such as weddings or parties that has a dress code to it. I hardly wear dresses because most of the time my hubby would have a grin on his face. So I would rather not and also it is a big hassle walking outside wearing a dress without any important occasions. For me it is such a drag to dress up because you have to wear nice high heeled shoes with a matching bag and everything with it.

I like wearing dresses for work. I feel comfortable being girly. Of course, pants or slacks are the most comfortable office attire. But I like wearing dresses because it makes me feel confident about being female. :-)

I have quite many dresses and skirts. I'm more of the girly and preppy kind, so I love wearing dresses even if I just go to the mall. It isn't a hassle for me since I pick up those comfortable ones that I would consider as serving as fashion and function. But I own a few pants as well, there's always a place wherein you have to put on some comfy pants and sneakers. Plus my scrubs for work.

I am sure that you enjoy wearing your dresses. If you prefer them, that is fine, after all, we do have to look pretty and decent once in a while. You just wear whatever makes you feel good.

I have never worn a coat in my life, as we do not get such cold weather. I do not even own one, but to get to the point, you love dresses and there is nothing wrong with it. You go ahead and wear them.
