is it possible to take a pregnancy test too late? stupid question i know but i am twelve days late for a period bought a clear blue easy digital test and i am going to take it tomorrow morning... it says on the box results 5 days sooner... so i gather you can take the test 5 days before ur missed period.. but if u already missed a period its still affective right? stupid question... lol
i am 12 days late and have ALL the pregnancy symptoms, already took one test it was inconclusive so i got these today and shall take them in the morning just making sure it doesnt matter how late i am and that it will still work

"5 days sooner" means that it claims to give results 5 days sooner than other tests: http://www.clearblueeasy.com/clearblue-easy-digital-pregnancy-test.php

The small print says:
"Clearblue® Easy Easy can be used as early as 4 days before you expect your period. That's 5 days sooner than waiting until you miss your period to test. The amount of pregnancy hormone increases rapidly in early pregnancy. In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples, Clearblue® Easy Easy gave the following results: 53% of pregnant women get results 5 days sooner. 74% get results 4 days sooner. 84% get results 3 days sooner, 87% get results 2 days sooner."
If you are 12 days late, you are likely to get a reliable result.

In fact it's more accurate when you're already late because you should have enough hcg to detect by then. And nope, there's no too late to take a test. Hope you got a big fat positive!
