Do you ever text while you are at work?

I think it is fun texting while working because you get to multi-task at times instead of working full 8 hours straight. I tend to do the things the company asks you not to do. And besides, it is fun to do alot of things at the same time. I challenge myself most of the time so there that is why I do text while working. Nothing beats chatting with a friend once in a while.

the only time I text at work is when one of my employees is late I text them to see if they are on their way we are not supposed to be on our cell phones at work unless you are a manager and need to get ahold of someone without being tied to a phone by all rights I could text as much as I want but I dont want to set a wrong example for my employees

Hi Tuckersheri, We are at liberty to use our cellphones while at work. We use it on office-related matters, too. We use our cellphones for texting or calling business associates or friends and family. It is so easy to relay information by texting. It is also very cheap. Nowadays, most people prefer to call than texting. We have network providers who offer unlimited calling capabilities for a certain period of time with very minimal fees.

I don't text at work. The company I work for doesn't allow it, and that's understandable. They're paying me to work for them, and for the hours that I'm on the clock, my time belongs to them, not to me. I'm curious - you say you can control it, but in the same sentence, you say your habit is so bad that you can't stop. If you can't, don't, or won't stop, then you're not controlling it.

I work at burger king here in New York. I love my job and I also text at work. We have very strict rules about texting there but of course I do it anyway. You are totally right when you say that it is alot of fun because It is. I think that its funner when I get caught though because my managers are really nice and just tell me to put it away. I think that sometimes it can be very annoying though when you want to type a longer message then your phone allows or you get someone in your drive thru when your in the middle of a conversation. I text at work, but it's not a big deal because I am self-employed. My students don't really care/notice because i do it while they are busy.

Hi there tuckersheri! I do not really text that often. I would rather call if I need to communicate. But suppose I need to text, I would do that in between periods. Definitely NOT while I work. I don't think it would be nice texting in front of my students right in the middle of a lecture or discussion. Only during my free time while I am in the faculty office.

For me in the work no text because my boss is so strict so that I'm not a bad influence employer I'm not to text in time of work I'm gonna wait for the time of it.

i do i just sneak around when boss is not looking i am addict to texting, my hands is itcjy and text my love just to check if he is okay.

Yes, I do text even when I'm at work, though we are allowed to text will working. But when I was still an agent, we can't really do that on the floor, but I still text..=)

Sometimes i text when im at work. Its only like a weekend job and they don't seem to mind :) they even said that we could, so long as customers don't see us, which is nice of them. Apart from when the main boss comes in, ive seen a few people getting told not to use their phones then :)

Yes I do text while I'm at work but not while I'm working. It is actually not allowed under our company's policy but in our department we are lucky to have some sort of lee ways in many things, not abused by the way.

I usually use my mobile at work. But since it is against company policy most of the time I discretely check my mobile for messages.

I do text but mostly text back and forth with my husband. I only text with him when I thought of something important or if some news happened and he needs to let me know. I try not to be on it too much lol but sometimes thoughts happen and I need to get them out before I forget it. I like using text because I feel like when I am on the phone at work, I am talking too loud or something lol.

Texting while working? oh no., that is not my habit but if it is emergency i couldn't help myself but do the texting..text for reply..sometimes we couldn't avoid emergency matter specially when it is our family who needed assistant but if it is just for the sake of textmate or friendship there's a time for that..after work, maybe i could entertain them.

Using cellular phones is not prohibited in our office. In fact, clients often call and send messages through our cellphones. Thus, I send and read text messages while at work. Have a nice day!

Sometimes I wwould text at work depending on how I had my settings set. If it was slow enough I'd text but if it was busy of course I wouldn't have enough time to. Texting is the fastest way to contact someone. One time I didn't and my friend called me. I of course had to let it go to voice mail because I was dealing with custmers. However, I sent her a text that I'd call her after work. But, in order to prevent that from happening, again I would text my friends eaither as I was going to work, or right before my shift, that I was going to be working.

well, it's not against our company's policies to text while working. so, i do it. but only to communicate important stuff to my loved ones. :)
