we hire maids so that they can do work for us for a fee. but i think it is an itinerant problem for all employers--inefficient maids. and then there is the issue of trust. many maids turn out to be thieves. others are pressed by need. others are pressed by jealousy.
you hire maids to make your life easier. in the end, they make your life stressful and miserable.
only a few maids can really be trusted. all these years, i can only count 2 to 3 maids in our household who are good workers and are really trustworthy. God bless them for their honesty and hard work.
anyway how about you? what are your horrendous maid stories?

Well our family never hired any maid or something like that because my parents are afraid that some of them might steal something and who knows. So my parents don't trust to strange people. And of course I'll love that my parents hired a maid so I wouldn't have to do any house chores XD but since the economy is bad in the U.S. it will be a bad idea.

We have had maids almost from day one of our married life and I have memorable experiences with most of them. The only problem was that I had to send them away as they were young and had to get married. One married person I had stayed with us for 15 years and is still in touch. Since we shifted our residence to another State she could not come with us although she helped us out in the first 3 months. She now has married daughters and her family is growing. Nowadays unfortunately maids are a rare commodity as there are better alternatives for them. Kitchen work is a drudgery and so not many opt for this chore.
