does it really matter who loves who more?

i just feel so sad today... i feel like i am in between. if some one loves you, do you really need to love them as much as they love you or more? or if they sacrificed something for you? do you really have to sacrifice for them too? And do we really need to do the things beyond our own will just to show them and make them feel how much we love them? Does it really have to be that way? I could do everything for someone i love. Even if i will be sad all my life. would you do the same?
