do u think a good listener is a better company?

I prefer to be in the company of someone who is more of a listener. This is not because I'm loquacious, I think that good listeners are usually the ones who are sensible when they talk. I find it very comforting if someone listens to me especially in times of hardship. I think there is also a right time for talking and talking too much.

Some people like to listen and obviously they need people who talk to do so. I do not think you would be considered boring company by people who listen if you are humorous and care about what your listeners would like to hear.

yes.. because when you have a problem and if you're with a good listener the burden lightens and you can express negative feelings freely without having to worry about what he is going to say about you.. it is very therapeutic for someone who has a problem to have someone to talk to and that someone is willing to listen without having to judge you or criticise you.. a good listener acknowledges what you feel without being judgemental and doesn't worsen your feelings..a good listener is a better company for me since i don't have to worry about what to say and what he might think of me, i won't feel worthless and stupid,and i can think things through after expressing my negative feelings...

I make a good listner.. I like to first listen and interpret the persons state of mind and his views and then answer accordingly.. I think listening is an intehral part but understanding is the foremost..

People who just talk and talk are often the ones who are bad listeners, cause listening requires a lot of patience, irrespective of the topic the person is talking about. An easy way of becoming a good listener is by listening to your partners problems or your girlfriend. I'm sure everyone knows this. Girls always have a lot to talk about and the first person they wanna tell is their partner or their boyfriend. I do it everyday and listen to them for hours sometimes. That definitely made me a better listener, and i do get appreciated for my ear lending efforts and patience.
