MS Dhoni, the skipper has been suffering from back strain since today morning and it was confirmed by the Indian Team Management that he will not be available for tomorrow's 1st test match against Bangladesh.
Dinesh Karthik will replace him as the wicket keeper.
Sehwag will be leading the team.
Do you think this gonna effect the match?
Personally, i dont feel any kinda diff. Infact karthik bats more confidently. N sehwag seems to be promising with his captaincy in a couple of one-day matches against Srilanka last season.
The same situation arose in New Zealand last year..2nd Test at Napier.. Sehwag captained da match and it ended in a draw. Thanks for the efforts of Dravid and Gambhir.
This is Sehwag's 3rd Test as a captain..!

Dhoni not playing is a real blow for Team India. India has got so used to Dhoni, at least I feel that, that if he is not playing I think there is something amiss. Because, the point to mention is that Dhoni is doing his job and doing it well enough. Leading the team from the front, he has given us many a success. Being the captain of the Indian Cricket team is no easy job. You have to apply more than 100%, and more than your money's worth. And still difficult job - who almost all agree - is being the coach of such a team. This Indian cricketing team is always supported by the whole nation, where cricket is a religion. Dhoni is carrying all the expectations like Sachin has been. A injury is the last thing that Team India needs who look to remain in the current top position ahead of Australia and South Africa.
