More and more people travel alone nadays. How do you like it? Have you ever traveled alone before? If you are going to travel alone, where do you most want to go?

I do not like to travel alone. I enjoy having company, because it makes the time pass faster in between destinations. I like to share the excitement and experiences with another person, or even multiple people. You can also call me paranoid, but I don't think it's safe to travel alone. This is due to the fact that I have had the bad luck to run into a few shady characters while on my own, including someone who tried to attack me and get into my car in the middle of the night. Sure, that can happen anywhere, but the further I am from people and locations I'm familiar with, the more likely that no one will ever find me if something horrible were to happen. I'm aware that the chance of something that bad happening is low, but I still only travel alone when I have to.

What you said is reasonable. And I also worried about the security of traveling alone.Especially for girls,it's very dangerous. So before making the decision, careful consideration is necessary.

Yes, it is definitely something that warrants consideration. It's unfortunate that anyone has to worry in the first place, though. When I have to travel alone, I just make sure that I tell a couple different people where exactly I'm going and how long I plan to be in each place.

When I was younger I traveled on my own. Now I travel with my toddler son and my baby daughter. I was 18 years old when I traveled around Europe by train alone. I stayed in youth hostels and had an excellent time. I was 20 to 21 years old when I traveled around the world on my own. I stayed in backpacker hostels and did some work in Australia. I had a working holiday visa. In my twenties I went to Israel and Jordan alone. When I was in my thirties I went on my own to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. That was one of my best trips that I have ever done. My toddler son is disabled and so I wouldn't be able to do a trip without him. He has a high level of special needs. If I could get a nanny that had experience of nursing I would like to go island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines. The nanny could look after my toddler son and baby daughter for half a day at a time.

I've travelled alone to Iceland, London, Shetland, Austria and a lot of other places in Europe. Normally, I will travel with someone but if noone wants to go where I want to go, I travel on my own :-) If I go on my own, I like going to places where I can take pictures of wildlife and nature.
