Not enough space on the computer?

So i've never downloaded a file this big (5684 MB) and there's roughly 1000 MB left. I've tried to delete a few unwanted programs and I figured even if I deleted all of them I probably still won't have enough space. Any solutions?

Install tuneup utilities 2008 or above and its will free your maximum space that is used by unwanted programs and temp files, also you can compress your drive to save space or spit the file you downloaded by using freeware called HJSPLIT its like some kb software and then write them into two dvd or buy a dvd9 and put it in that file.Store all your backup outside the computer, burn them into dvd s, for tuneup you can find full version keys online or just pm me her and ill give you i have for 2008. System restore points and updates cover a lot of space if you haven't deleted them for a quite time they must be in gigabytes you can delete them its not an issue.I delete them every week they cross like 1gb for sure every week.

HI! If you don't have enough space on your computer's hard drive, you really should install and run some clean-up software! You can try with "ccleaner" it is one of the most popular clean-up softwares on the market. You should also try to view, if there is some hidden files you don't see! In the windows folder- c:windows/system32, there is a folder, where every copied or downloaded file has something like copy and sometimes the size of that folder is very big. The last time in mine there were about 500MB of useless copies. Try to find the folder( I can't remember the name, but I think it was dllcache, and delete all its content!

You can get a pen drive which are available in large sizes. Look at that possibility rather than deleting files which is a gigantic task if I were to go by what I have stored in my pc. It is so badly stored that I do not know which file I should delete and which I should retain

Use disc clean up, disc defragmenter. remove ALL programs that are taking up space, that you don't use. Back up music, photo, video and document files to a portable device such as a thumb drive or memory chip and remove them from your system. After all this is complete restart your computer. You may have to several times) and I garentee you you'll have a lot more free memory to play around with. One other thing, close or disable any and all start up programs you don't need running in the background. This will free up your RAM (Random Access Memory) wich is utlized in the download process.

Hi, utubez9195. You can add another hard dish or backup some files to your mobile HD.
