I am soo upset...I was banned from ReviewStream!

A couple of days ago I was banned from reviewstream because they said I cheated! Ok let me explain, I am on a number of review sites, and I like stating my opinion/reviews to help people out. I was reviewing something on ReviewStream and as a thoughtless mistake I repeated some phrases about a product, and they think I'm a cheater because they found a similar review of mine on another site! But it was only a couple of words that were repeated! Not the whole thing! It was an accident! I'm so upset I e-mailed them to explain myself, and begging them to unban me for a human mistake! I didn't even get a warning! If I had known about this I would have checked every single one of my reviews on any other site to make sure I'm not repeating any phrases! :( Sorry for the long rant, but do you guys think they'll accept my apology and mistake and unban me? They think I'm a fraud and cheater! I am sooo upset! :'(

I just started trying out Review Stream. I did read through all their information and terms on their site and the biggest one they have is no copying content not even your own. I'd say they are the strictest site that I've come across and they want 100% original content. I've decided to try them out but stick more to reviewing shopping experiences that I most likely will not be posting anywhere else. You may want to keep in mind that if you might be talking about similar information review it first on Review Stream than post links back to your review on ReviewStream since they pay .10 per original read. That way you can still post to multiple sites but do not get caught in the repeating content that is posted on Review Stram. I wish you luck in appealing your case to Review Stream because it sounded like they were pretty strict in this area when I read through their site.

Yeah I'll try saving my reviews as documents on my laptop to prevent anything like this again! Thanks for the tip, I tried and made my error. :( Good luck to you!

I hope your right. I learned the hard way that you better keep a copy of your reviews that you submit because if they reject them you have no way to go back and edit them for resubmission. I didn't quite understand about the whole bulk rate thing, so I didn't check the box on my first review and they rejected because they did not want to pay the full price. Live and learn by trial and error I guess you could say.

Sorry to hear that. I don't know much about this site, but if I'm right, I think what they are trying to tell you indirectly is that you have to create a new account with them as a new user and start off with 0 balance. I think so..why not try that method.

Well I don't want to try that just yet...you may be right though but I wouldn't want them to ban my IP too! I'll definitely keep that into mind though...hmmm

I feel so bad for you. I write, too, for a number of sites, and some are adamant about original content only. If you review or comment on the same products, it would be hard not to repeat certain phrase, I imagine. I hope they will read your email, look into the matter, and give you another chance.

Thanks for your reply Karen! I just wish I had a warning first, I would have been way more careful and gone over my work again! I hope they look into my email too, because I am 100% honest and I would never do anything to cheat their system! I was a member of a number of good sites that shut down because of cheaters! I am not one of them! Sorry for the rant. But thanks for your concern, I hope they look into my email too. :(

Yes they really should have warned me first! I would have been way more careful. I hope they find it in themselves to reinstate my account!!! :( So frustrating...

The reason you got banned from the site was quite stupid (those who banned you are stupid). I can feel that you are putting your heart out into writing comments into those sites and they just banned you with such a meaningless reason. Unless they just don't want to pay you what you have earned, they should unban you.

Well I wouldn't call it stupid, lol, but I do think it's unjust. I really do put my heart into writing reviews, they're MY opinions that come from MY brain,thoughts,hearts,feelings,etc!! Nowhere else! I spent so much time trying to make my reviews perfect for ReviewStream, they were one of the best sites I was apart of, then they ban me! I don't think they would pay me yet though, I didn't reach payout but yes, I agree with you! Thanks for your reply and concern though. :)
