Are you jealous and if so hw has it effectedyour relationship?

I wouldn't say I'm an overly jealous person, I just put myself into the other persons shoes and if I see them doing something that I would deem flirting from myself, then I get jealous. I know my boyfriend loves me, and that he will be with me through thick and thin, but that doesn't mean that other girls will leave him alone. I trust him, I don't trust them. I've never vented my anger towards him, I just have to let him know when I feel that someone he's been talking to is flirting. Sometimes guys can't see it when it's right in front of their faces. As for past relationships, I have an ex that refused to let me talk about any other guys I thought were attractive, even if they were famous and very unavailable to me. I saw then that jealousy, when taken to that extent, can be irritating, so I try not to be that bad in my current relationship.

I am jealous, but I try to contain it. This ended up being a problem for my relationship with my wife. She had an ex-boyfriend that just wouldn't "say die" so to speak. I hated it. I asked my wife to tell him he needed to back off, and she accused me of trying to break her away from her friends. I told her she could stay friends with him, I just didn't want him asking the color of her underwear and such. (Yes, seriously.) She agreed, but it still continued. Then, finally, one day he went balls out. I told my wife it was me or him. She asked me to talk to him. He exploded. My wife then saw what he was, and it was really good for our relationship. She kicked him to the curb. I have standing permission to treat him however I like if I ever meet him in person again. I picked up my sword collecting after that.
