Do you ever press this button on Google search? I'm confused as to why they have it, because it seems like a silly thing NOT to consider all of the link options for what you're searching for before deciding which to click on. Are you in agreement with me? I was just on my Blackberry (#2..Ugh.) and searching for something on Google - and I accidentally clicked on "I'm Feeling Lucky" rather than "Search" (Or whatever it's called) and it was totally not helpful to me. Do you ever click on "I'm Feeling Lucky" when searching on Google?

I have just for kicks and giggles, but other then that - no. I'd have to say I am in agreement with you though as it is kind of useless as the first link doesn't necesarily mean it's the best, or whatever link they come up with that is!.

It is indeed helpful. 'Im Feeling Lucky' button is used to go to the first website on the search results..So if you are searching for something definitive like mylot or Facebook etc hit the button and you can go to the site without seeing the results..why waste time as you know the thing you searched will be the first in results. I use it mainly when i search for websites but dont know correct domain name whether its .com or net etc. New version of firefox also does this thing...just type the search string in address bar and hit enter you will go to the site...

Yes i do when i m looking for one website for all the keywords that i have typed basically when i m in a hurry to look for something specific. It will be helpful when you know what exactly are you looking for as in you have to type exact keyword for what you want For example if you wanna buy a blackberry phone in india You type in buy blackberry in india and press i m feeling lucky and instead of taking you to millions of sites with same kind of keywords it wil directly go to www.in.blackberry.com
