Do You Properly Dispose Your Boogers?

What about eating them? I suppose we've all done that as children? :-) If I have to pick my nose, which I I have to do every now and then, I'm usually somewhere where noone will notice what I do with the leftovers. Noone'll notice a booger in a stable filled with horse poo :-)

I'll have to give it too you.. You come up with the oddest discussions! Do I have an answer to this one? I don't know... What is the proper way to dispose of a booger..? I usually flick 'em. whether that is right or wrong- Who knows? I will tell you that I still have this image burned into my mind of someone who I knew in passing. He worked in the Pizza place on the first floor of my apartment bldg he seemed like a real nice guy and the most normal of the delivery people.. Until the day I was sitting on my balcony and looking down on the street and saw him walking to his car and he picked his nose AND ATE IT!.. I'm sorry but I lost all respect for him after that.. That image still grosses me out to this day. In fact I think I am getting nauseous just writing about it - and I am not that easy of a person to be grossed out! But IMO that is the WRONG way to dispose of a booger? What Say you?

I am aware that I should dispose my boogers properly, but I don't do it always. I have a tendancy to blow my nose on the bathing towel soon after the bath. My husband hates it and now I made it a point to take some tissue paper to blow my nose. I still blow it on towel if there is none around. I am not a person who wipe it off on a wall or eat it. Don't laugh. I have seen people disposing the boogers on their mouth. Yuck. I hate watching that. Most of the people who do that are illeterate and poor people I see on the street and in government buses. I have seen students cleaning their nose during the time of class. I used to do so. Once one of my teachers scolded a class mate for cleaning nose during class time. Good discussion and starange topic which people often won't think about. Even if it appears as a silly topic, it has importance. It is important to learn when to clean nose, how to dispose the boogers properly, and the importance of not doing it in public such as while attending a meeting or class.

Well, your topic was really unique regarding this matters and I can say that i agree that this is the only way of cleaning it in our nose. But even though that's the only way of cleaning it. There are different way of dispossing it. Well, me to be honest there times that I just throw it on the floor, but before getting and throwing it. I assure first that there is no people see me because it's to shy to show it in public. But when the situation came that I can't take it anymore. I just removed it in an elegant way like by using a tissue, covering by my hand and bow my head to avoid to see me doing it. By the way, i didn't put my dirt in other things like under the table, wall and etc. I just really throw it on the ground and i assure that it's already compresed round. To avoid to see by others and then it will became like dust, then to be wipe by broom when cleaning the room.

I just like to use a handkerchief or a spare tissue paper that I can get. I don't like to mess up my place with my boogers lying around. I just don't think its a very hygenic thing to do. I know its frowned upon to pick your nose in public so I try to avoid that if I can.

hello nocturn your dicussion is very special and ralistic.The thing we met in our daily life.i think it's not polite handling our boogers in public no matter whether somebody is around us or not.it will be better handling them with tissues.i ususlly pick my nose in the bathroom or toliet .so you know where i throw them . And it reminded me the one i saw on tv programm,their topic is about your hobbeies. there is someboby that collecting own boogers is one of her hobbies.i thought it was unbelievable.But just now i read whose comment is about someone eating them.ohh~~although collecting is really better than that,it's still a little disgusting.what do you think of this,nocturn?

Hi, nocturn98. Yes, I will usually put it in a piece of tissue. I will wrap it up and throw it in the trash can. I never pick my nose in public. That is just plain old nasty!

Well like you said everyone does it but its how you dispose of it ..I dont use my table as you do but i like to just roll it between my fingers and then flick it away and "LET THE CHIPS FALL WHERE THE MAY ".I enjoy doing it though and the ritual associated with it as well.

I do clean my nose properly using tissue. I don't clean my nose with my fingers. In the rare instances when I pick my nose using only my fingers, I do so only because there's something really irritating in my nose and I don't have a tissue with me. I don't like it when people stick their boogers anywhere. It's so unhygienic.

I only sometimes dispose it properly with a tissue od course but if there wansn't one i would just stick my boogers on the wall.... HAHA! i sometimes dispose them on the table or flick it if necesary but there's nothing wrong with that it's just picking your boogers and not properly disposing it......yeah....

yes. I used tissue or handkerchief when I will sneeze or clean my nose especially when I'm in public. :)
