John Hopkin's University has found that a little chocolate a day affects the platelets that cause blood to clot.. Just like an asprin a day can cut the risk of a heart attack. Does this cause for cheer to chocolate lovers? Or would you rather take that asprin? And do you think it will cause others to overeat chocolate because with all the studies saying chocolate has good effects, find it reason enough to eat more? Here is article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061114/hl_nm/heart_chocolate_dc

Oh my goodness. I love chocolate and eat it often. Dark chocolate lowers blood pressure. I didn't need any clinical studies to prove that to me. When I was experiencing high blood pressure, I started eating chocolate out of frustration because I couldn't get it to come down. After a few days I noticed that my bp had indeed lowered and I laughed with my coworkers about having eaten chocolate and it helped. I am not one to take aspirin on a daily basis. If my doctor were to advise me to do this, I would.

My last job actually had a community candy bowl for those moments. It was kept full by our lead. She loved how everyone came to her area and grabbed some chocolate just because they needed it. She also knew when the office was stressed more one week than another. LOL Because she would have to fill the bowl faster.

Ahhh...but your allergic. So maybe you should stick to just a Hershey's Kiss a day. LOL But at least you will have a reason though! :)

I'd prefer to eat chocolate. I don't like taking medicine. But it might add some unwanted pounds to me. Hard decision!

Lets see... would I eat a little slice of heaven every day in order to cut the risk of of a heart attack... Why that is like asking a kid if he wants cotten candy... Oh yeah I sure will. No if I can just get the will power to only eat one a day and not one bag.

school of piranhas - school of piranhas
Now, that is a problem. ha ha Must....eat.....only....one! Sorry, if I had a bag...it would be gone and I would be left with just holding the bag with a numb because my children transform into chocolate eating piranhas.

Heheh .. I don't think you have to eat a whole bar surely ... I think here in the UK they said it was one square of a block of chocolate .. I had a friend who went to America .. he asked me what I wanted him to bring back for me .. I'd hear about the Hershey bars and how famous they are so I asked for one of those .. YUK! it was horrible .. really dry and bitty chocolate that just wouldn't 'melt in the mouth' .. did I get a bad one or something ..

Pretty nice study. Unfortunately, there will be people who will use this as an excuse to eat chocolate several times a day and obesity will continue to be a problem.

You are teasing me with that image of the strawberrie dipped in chocolate. LOL I love chocolate and if it says it is good for you then I will happily eat a candy bar a day.

Bring on the chocolate. I would definatly prefer the chocolate over popping an aspirin daily. I don't think they would use it as an excuse to eat more, as you take one aspirin a day, take one chocolate a day instead.

Heck yeah, I would! Too bad it wouldn't actually work. --- --- --- "I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. The way she projects herself and the fact that she is so obviously vacuous. I think it's such a shame that she became so influential to very small children." -- MORRISSEY --- --- ---

Only one? I was very happy to read this because I'm a chocolate addict and now I have an excuse to indulge. The article I read says that you should be careful what kind of chocolate you eat, though, because some of it is better than other in terms of fat and additives. Personally I love Cadbury's.

I personally would rather take a Hershey a day than to stick that little pill (if its on too long it starts to taste gross) on my tongue and swallow it! Sometimes you may have to take to drinks because it stick to you throat! With chocolate, you can chew it, let it melt in your mouth, or something like that!! I say....GO CHOCOLATE!!!!
